Dated hotel

The staff says the hotel is being remodeled, our room looks like they updated some things but not all. The sleep number bed didn't work( slept all night with it at 100 hard) bathroom tub was rusty and dirty. The bath products they provided where actually used! And half gone. Stains on the walls, pillows had stains and hair on them. Don't use the vending machines, they ate my money twice! And two machines looked like they haven't been restocked in awhile. We used the steps a few times because it was faster then the elevator. I did like how it was close to many things, it has a microwave and fridge. For the price we paid, we expected a bit more.

Our family was in town and booked 5 rooms. Every room but one was dirty or the ac was broken. Our first room had a broken closet mirror/door that was completely fallen laying in the closet, there was no towels in the bathroom, a dirty hand towel on the tv stand and rust in the bathtub. We switched rooms and the ac was broken, there was dog fur all over the floor and long black hair all over the bathroom floor. For over $250 a night I would expect some basic cleanliness. Just gross.

Clean and comfortable place to stay

I only stayed one night. The bed was very comfortable and the room, including bathroom, was very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I was able to park free in their parking for the entire two days even though I checked out of my room by noon the next day. Parking downtown in Duluth is a nightmare, so I left the car and walked to the lake. It was spendy to stay there but you get what you pay for and it was worth it.

Beds were comfy,only good thing

The beds were the only good thing about this hotel! Hallways, lobby, pool were not clean, hard to access. I will not stay here again for the price point it was very disappointing!

High End Hotel with LOTS of Noise

Pros: Room amenities, the view of Lake Superior, soft, comfortable beds, very clean.
Cons: The noise level. Could even hear conversations that were happening in the room next door.
Location: Shopping, restaurants, Lake Superior
I am a frequent traveler and stay in hotels often. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this one was the noisiest. When I first got there, the staff accidentally checked me into a dirty hotel room. Apologizing, the staff reassigned me to a beautiful hotel room on one of their top floors that overlooked Lake Superior. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were very clean, and the AC worked wonderfully. Even with the AC on and fan, the noise from other hotel rooms next to us started making loud noises at about 5am. It didn't stop until we checked out. Very disappointing, Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Great location. Complementary shuddle bus. Room was very small. Some nice updates. However some things still needed updating leaving areas looking dinged or dirty. Bathroom was outdated. Pool was extremely off on chemical balance. Leaving our families skin irritated. Only would recommend for location & view. Would not recommend based on amenities & room size for families.

Cons: Some updates could be done.
Location: Canal Park is close and almost all the tourist attraction are withing walking/biking distance.
The room was clean with nice bedding. The wait was a little long to check in, but it was a holiday so it was understandable. The pool area could use an upgrade as it seems a little dated, that being said, it was clean and it good repair.
