Nice view!

Posted Aug 27, 2016
Pros: The rotating rooftop restaurant. The staff was very friendly.
Cons: First impressions are everything. The front desk and lobby need more of a presence.
Location: Perfect location to everything.
Our First time staying in Duluth. The view was important to our stay and this place did not disappoint. Be sure to book a harbor side room. The extra cost was worth it to us. The higher the floor the better. The rotating rooftop restaurant has excellent food and the best view in the city. It's the best feature of the hotel. The hotel is older and our room was just a little small but not a big deal to us. In my opinion, if the rates were slightly lower, it would be priced perfectly for the overall experience. When the time comes to visit Duluth again the Radisson is a good choice for us.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your recent stay. The lake views are amazing! We have renovations scheduled for the lobby entrance. Currently we are wrapping up the hallways on all 15 floors; as well as, the conference center. Over the next few months we will be addressing the parking garage renovations & the swimming pool deck repairs.

Not worth the price we paid ($189/night)

Posted Aug 24, 2016
Pros: Excellent staff!
Cons: Please read experience statement.
Our room was pretty good. Except for the fact that the tub drained very slowly. You would be standing in at least 3 inches of water before you were done showering. The vent in the bathroom had about 2 inches of dust on it. The carpet throughout the halls had stains all over. There are no base boards in the hallways either. Not enough parking at the facility and very tight spaces. It's almost like they started renovating and never fininshed.

Time to tear it down and redevelop the site

Terrible value. For what we paid the place should not have been such a dump. The owners clearly aren't putting money back into the place and the staff don't care either. The Radisson brand used to mean something in terms of standards, but no longer, evidently.

No amenities for the price.

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: Our room was great. Check in wonderful.
Cons: Hallways (very dirty). Handicapped accessibility to parking. Parking available for every room. TWO ELEVATORS???. A continental breakfast.
Location: We were there for Tall Ships and Arts Fair.
Lovely room, great view, bathroom a little lacking in cleanliness. No handicap accessibility for parking ramp, dirty hallways. ( I do hope it is mid renovation, otherwise YUCK). Parking is a joke, not enough spots for all rooms.Highest price for hotel for my visit to Tall Ships, and NO amenities. Restaurant/room service to expensive for most travelers. No breakfast options in the hotel or nearby.

Old hotel. Rooms acceptable, rest of hotel dumpy.

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: revolving restaurant on top floor
Cons: updating needed throughout Lobby cleaned Grounds around entrance cleaned up
Location: Lake Superior
Place to stay - that's it. Room smelled like stale smoke and common areas old and tired. Not the Radisson I remember growing up.

Our hotel has been non-smoking for many years. We regret that you were disappointed in the odor; possibly it could have been the smell of the new wall vinyl or new carpet being installed. We are currently completing all of the hallways. I assure you we will improve upon our overall experience and have addressed the issues you mentioned.

This hotel needs to be updated. Very run down.

Posted Aug 22, 2016
First room we were placed in had no functioning AC. Staff did relocate us to a room with functioning AC later in the evening. Signage in the hotel is basically non-existent. This place needs a lot of work to bring it back to what it used to be!

Parking stinks and the shuttle service is slower than molasses. The elevators are also very slow.

Parking is complimentary to all overnight guest; as well as, all guest dining in JJ Astor & Bowery Brother's Pub. In addition, all guest attending events in our conference center. We regret that you found parking to be a challenge during your stay. In regards to the complimentary shuttle. We have always had a schedule; as well as, a route that we serve. We regret that you were inconvenienced. Our hotel has elevators in the main lobby; as well as, a service elevator for our employees and an elevator that services 2A-5A. We regret that the options available were not servicing you as quickly as you would have liked. Our hotel has been serving guest for over 46 years. We have our elevators serviced by one of the best companies in the industry. The issue clearly was that all venues were at capacity; rather than a functional issues. Our sincerest apologies if you were inconvenienced during your stay.

Long weekend in Duluth

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Pros: Location and views from rotating restaurant
Cons: Carpet in common areas is in serious need of cleaning/replacing.
Location was great. Attended the Bayfront Blues Festival. Easy walking distance. Views from the rotating restaurant are great.

We are completing one floor each week with new wall vinyl, new fresh paint, & installing carpet. We have most of the 15 floors completed or in progress. It won't be much longer, we promise!

We have recently renovated all 268 guests rooms. Currently we are renovating our hallways with new wall vinyl, fresh paint, and new carpet. Over the next few weeks we should finish the hallways then the lobby, the pool area, the parking garage, and the conference room will all be completed by the end of October, 2016. Our new 13 passenger van was delivered last Tuesday and it has been a big hit with our guest. We regret that you were disappointed. We always offer a Manager on Duty 24/7 to meet with you and discuss any issues or concerns while you are still in our hotel. Our sincerest apologies that we didn't get that opportunity. We assure you our goal is to improve upon the overall guest experience.
