Stay elsewhere

Posted Aug 16, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel seemed overpriced for what we got. Beds are very old and uncomfortable. Room was very hot, a/c was not on in the room when we got there and it took over an hour to cool it down.

Bad customer service

Posted Aug 4, 2015 on Hotels
We were double charged for our room because they did not do the check in correctly. They would not refund anything. There was a dirty wash clothe in the bath tub.

Fully met my expectation and very very quiet!

Posted Aug 4, 2015 on Hotels
Econo Lodge in Dumas is an older, highway, single night stop. As such it completely met our expectation. It was clean and properly furnished. Yes it is older and it is NOT glitsy however, it is QUIET. In Dumas the train runs next to the highway and if you're at one of the hotels on the West side of the highway you WILL hear the trains at night. As Econo Lodge is on the East side of the highway, the room was quiet. In fact, I think since it is an older property it is probably better built as we couldn't even hear hallway noise or that of other rooms. I have recently stayed at other newer properties and you can literally hear the hair dryer from the next room. Econo Lodge is as advertised a great single night stay at an extremely affordable price!

Smells like dirty socks...

Posted Jul 27, 2015 on Hotels
Room smelled like dirty socks when arriving, and AC unit was off. Otherwise just a dumpy hotel...but good waffles for breakfast.
