Nice hotel.Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: It was a great location.
Cons: The beds were too hard. I know this is a personal preference and you can't please everyone with everything.
Location: Wal-Mart is across the street.
The hotel is nice. The beds were very hard. It would be nice if hotels advertised the mattresses they use so you would know they are using bricks instead of feathers! Over all it was a great stay.

Waterless in DumasPosted Oct 18, 2015
Pros: Relatively new and clean. Convenient location.
Cons: Response to the (inevitable) crisis (see note above).
Awakened, ready to "get ready": NO WATER!! Sponge bath in the residual water as the pipes drained. Ugh! Front desk staff of little comfort, and no offer of "100% Satisfaction", a la, Hampton Inn. Guess where we stayed the next night. :)

Pleasant stay except internet did not workPosted Oct 12, 2015
Excellent hotel in all respects except for Internet. We were promised free internet but this hotel seems to have a problem with Internet connecting to any Apple device, so we had not Internet.

It'll do for a night of passing through...Posted Aug 13, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed on our way back home from Colorado. View out our window towards west was less than impressive, but it was West Texas. Breakfast was ok but not as good as other Hol Inn Express' we have stayed at previously. We did get a kick out of reading up on the history of "Ding Dong Daddy of Dumas". Fascinating!

Good place for a family to stayPosted Aug 12, 2015 on Hotels
Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Nice pool area. Common areas were clean, bright, and felt safe. We would stay here again.

Excellent facility, but short staffing, a problem!Posted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: Excellent facility, very clean and very comfortable rooms and breakfast area.
Cons: Need more staff to adequately provide the stated service obligations.
Location: Great location near restaurants and set back from the highway.
Arrived at 4:30, found a queue seeking to check in. Lady at reception was on the phone with the manager for over 15 minutes, apparently listening to manager complaining that staff wasn't coming in to help with evening "happy hour". One potential guest left, the rest of us that had reservations had to wait to check in. Happy hour scheduled for 5:50 (Dumas is "dry" so better hotels host evening Happy Hour) was in fact cancelled due lack of staff. I blame the Manager, who instead of calling in from home during the busy check in hour, should have come in to pitch in to cover for the missing staff. Same in the morning, the front desk was not covered as the lady had to help in the kitchen to assist with the morning breakfast buffet. Serious problem with poor management and staffing is hurting a great facility!
