Great Stay and Great Food!

Location: Washington DC and Quantico Marine Base
We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was great and the room was clean. The real treat was the bacon wrapped shrimp we had for a snack that was brought to our room. It was a great place to relax after a long drive.

Clean environment, courteous staff

Embarrassing to pay for room with breakfast, only to learn later that "breakfast" is different from menu breakfast. Fix this!

Pleasant stay but customer service was not!!!

Location: There is a shopping center in front of the hotel. There is Waffle house, Cracker Barrel and IHOP right in general location.
The hotel was easy to find and I had no trouble with parking. I walked in and was barely greeted by the front desk person. I told him in the morning I would like to pay cash and he said just let the front desk person know when checking out in the morning. I go to desk in morning and it is the same person who checked me in at the desk. I do not remember him greeting me but advised him I would be paying in cash. He seemed bothered by this but he told me the cost. While he was looking up information on the computer a employee from restaurant comes up to the desk. They front desk attendant and the other employee proceed to have a conversation about the front desk breakfast order. I feel that at this moment that was not important. They finish there conversation and he tries to give me back my change. Even with using a calculator he gives me back the wrong change. He did not print out a new receipt so I check the math and it was wrong. He looked over because I was still standing there and I told him the change he gave me back was not correct. He finally gave back the correct change. This made me late for the person I was meeting and could not get breakfast. He never said thank you for your stay. I was upset because I was going to stay at the hotel I am a rewards member of but decided to go with cost. I feel cheated as a customer and don't think I will be staying at this hotel again. I usually don't have any issues with hotels but this was the worst.

visiting military school.

Pros: very close to the marines training school.
Cons: renovate rooms

to start with i want to say debbie at the front desk was really the best......very kind and helpful,as well as out going. the hotel itsself was good. i asked a man at the front desk where i could get a good steak and he didnt even refere us to your own resturant which surprised me considering i work for an i.h.g property here in rochester ny and have worked for i.h.g for 16 years.however our room was horrible, the ceiling was cracked and paint was falling off of it. the carpet was dirty and coming apart. the housekeeper told us to keep the pillows that were in the bathroom around the bathtub there because the tub leaked water. i suppose for one night we could put with it.

Extremely rude and unprofessional!

Pros: Was not there long enough.
Cons: More accommodating to their customers and their situations!!
We originally booked the hotel for 2 nights, but unfortunately had to drive back to Connecticut for a funeral. We approached the front desk and explained the situation about having to leave 1 day early due to un foreseen circumstances , she proceeded to get her manager. The manager was extremely unprofessional and a bit rude about crediting us back for the 1 night. His business skills and professionalism were horrible. Holiday Inn could have done something to help us out.

Had no hot water in my room. They took a long time to get someone out to fix it. The food included with the morning breakfast was terrible. Staff at check-in didn't have me on the list for a stay and took a long time to fix the problem.
