Lovely hotel by the marina.Posted Sep 19, 2017
Cons: Breakfast has no buffet and is only table service so there is no self-service cereal or juice.
Location: lots of local cycling and walking routes
The hotel is quite isolated but a short cycle from Croy station. I've stayed here twice now and both times the staff in the Boathouse restaurant were friendly and take time to make sure everything is alright.

Great locationPosted Aug 8, 2017
Cons: Not much
Location: It's quiet yet close enough to motorway access to make it a great overnight stop.
Good room, good restaurant, good breakfast and great location. What more could you ask for the price.

Great accommodation in great canalside locationPosted Jul 13, 2017
Had a room with a great outlook close to the canal. Adjoining restaurant had a good selection on menu and staff were very friendly and efficient. Had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay walking the John Muir Way.

Rather odd, all toldPosted Jun 29, 2017
After GPS sent us wrong 3 times, we finally found this hotel/restaurant on a canal with canal boats moored behind it That was charming. The rooms can't be accessed from the restaurant where we checked in, and when it's blowing a gale (as it does in that part of Scotland) that's quite inconvenient. My room had a slow draining sink and a light out in the bathroom that someone apparently tried to fix but gave up. Staff were generally pleasant and helpful, except when they didn't want to be. Altogether curious, interesting, a bit odd.
