Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent WiFi. Mobile phone signal inside the building is not great but outside is good.

I have stayed at Dunboyne Castle several times, and the hotel personnel are always friendly and more than helpful.

Nice hotel, walking distance to small town

Posted May 26, 2015
Had a two night stay at the hotel and enjoyed it. The hotel is nice and modern with a lovely restaurant and two nice bars. We were upgraded to an executive room on the fourth floor however I was slightly disappointed. It was not what I would call "executive"- it had a nice modern flat screen and our view was fine but the room and bathroom were quite dated and tired. Upon viewing a standard room I felt it was nicer! Much more cosy and modern. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Spa was nice enough. Plenty of steam rooms and a nice sauna with a lovely circular pool however the walls were peeling quite a bit. Overall I would come back to this hotel.

Best combination of hotel-room-food- service and leisure facilities in the industry. Used this hotel for both business and now for a leisure break and cannot fault it....PERFECT

Yet another business trip

Posted May 13, 2015
Pros: Excellent hotel in a quiet location. Mobile phone coverage is not great (no fault of the hotel) but made up for with excellent WiFi in room.
Cons: Pool/sauna facilities could be open later than 20:00
Location: n/a
Have stayed here on a number of occasions and find the staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent with wide choice.

nice hotel

it was a very short stay, but perfectly adequate to suit my needs. i had a big issue with them charging €5 on top of every room service order - they did point this out to me, but i think a total of €11 is massively excessive for a toasted cheese sandwich.

Excellent value for the quality

I was traveling around Ireland with work and looking for a point mid way between customers. The Dunboyne Castle looked like a nice setting and very good value. The rooms are in a modern block at the side of the old house. Both the main room and the bathroom were comfortable, spacious and clean. A good nights sleep. The WiFi was free and worked well The grounds looked like they could be nice but i didn't explore due to the rain. I would return in if was in the area again
