Good Value + hotel

Limited hot breakfast, only green tea (not normal English breakfast) tea bags available at breakfast. Eating area could be laid out better

It's just another hotel.

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: The folks at the front desk are very friendly. All the lobby's are all the same.
Cons: Room cleaning, bed made, trash emptied, in room coffee service needs work. Lots of coffee, about no cream & sugar. and the mess at the coffee counter was not really cleaned. Also, don't spend the extra money for a suite, it's just a room with a couch added, and not enough room for the extra furniture.
Location: Luby's next door is good for "Food" and having a Waffle House near by is great.

Terrible reservation management - Never stay here!

Posted Oct 12, 2016
I reserved two rooms, 1 in my name w/2 queen beds & 1 in my uncle's name w/1 king bed. When we ck'd in we both gave separate credit cards. I got to my room & there was only 1 king bed. I called downstairs but all double beds had been sold so they moved me to a room w/king and sleeper sofa. Not ideal but at least we had two beds. We found a plastic bag under the cushion of the sleeper sofa w/some kind of sticky gel in it. We threw it out immediately. The room smelled like it had been over sprayed to cover up the smell that eventually came through. We didn't want to change rooms again so we just stayed. Then come to find out that after we each gave our own credit cards I was charged for both rooms. I called to have it fixed and they said that I was automatically charged for both rooms after 3pm. NO WHERE did it say this would happen. You give a card to guarantee the room & when you check in you give whatever card you would like to pay with. We each gave our own cards. His was only charged for incidentals. I only signed for one room and one charge. Called the hotel they said my uncle would have to call to pay for his room or it wouldn't be removed from my card onto the card that he gave them at check in NOR did the lady at check-in give any info that both rooms were charged to my card and we would be each getting a $25 hold for incidentals. I've booked many hotels & flights through Expedia & never had any trouble until this hotel. Mgr tried to blame Expedia for the problems.

We sincerely apologize for this issue. We are not sure where the error took place and we are still investigating this issue. Most hotels will secure your reservation with the payment method used to book that particular reservation. Once the cancellation period has expired, that particular payment method becomes liable for the reservation. This is why your card was charged at 3pm as the cancellation period had expired. I do apologize if this was not explained to you at the front desk. We do take your comments seriously and will discuss this particular situation at our next staff meeting.

Met expectations

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Pros: Beds, vending machines, Direct TV.
Cons: Better (larger) plastic ware for breakfast area :)
Location: Few restaurants, some shopping.
Good hotel conveniently located amidst most amenities (dining, gas stations, etc.). Check in/out was swift and efficient, the employees were courteous and polite. Standard room was comfortable and well appointed. Several strategically located vending machines. Adequate breakfast with the usual selections. Few minor suggestions for breakfast: (a) add a second DIY waffle iron, and (b) change vendors for the plastic ware, the knives, forks etc. were tiny, even for people with small hands :). Overall a comfortable hotel for a 1-2 night stay.

Thank you Valerie for your comments. We will certainly evaluate our cutlery options with our vendor. At the moment we are using a plant based biosensitive material for our cutlery. This lowers our carbon footprint and helps us be green.

Very nice hotel and very convenient to restaurants

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: The nearby sites and the friendliness of the staff
Location: Shopping malls, several restaurants and easy access to freeways.
I came to Dallas to celebrate my 60th birthday and this hotel was in the center of everything or place that I was going to visit. The staff at this hotel ware extremely friendly and helpful. They were quick in answering any questions and making accommodations when needed.

Good value for the price - clean, quiet and comfy.

Posted Sep 18, 2016
Pros: Good value for the price. Very convenient to the freeway and not far from shopping, restaurants, and the convention we were attending.
Cons: Blow dryer did not work and the shower curtain rod drooped in the middle so the shower curtain would not stay closed.
Location: It is easy access to Hwy. 67 and close to Hwy. 20. The area is a little sketchy but it is not far from an enclave of restaurants and shopping.
For business people or conference attendees, this hotel is a great place to stay. While the area is a little less than desirable and there was no security guard in evidence, we felt safe. The rooms are clean and quiet, beds are comfortable. The blow dryer did not work and the shower curtain did not want to stay closed, but it was an over-all good experience. When we asked about the fragrance in the room, we were told it was Febreze. While we did not find it offensive, some with hyper-sensitive noses might find it a little strong. The breakfast was pretty comprehensive with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, bagels, cereal and some whole fresh fruit, the oatmeal was a little watery. All-in-all, a good value for the price. While not a luxury vacation hotel, it was perfect for our needs as convention attendees. We would stay there again.

Great Stay in Duncanville

The air conditioning was a little loud but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very courteous and they seemed to be very happy to see me every time I walked through the door. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and actually quite tasty.

Thank you for the comments. We look at your specific room to see if there is something wrong with AC causing it be loud as all of our units are low noise models.
