Well located to Otago University and Dunedin CBD

Posted Apr 29, 2015 on Wotif
This motel is ideal if you want two good size bedrooms and living space in walking distance to the university and to Dunedin CBD. It is also easily accessed by car. The rooms are older but tidy and comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The Asure Dunedin motel is a very satisfactory establishment in the university area, close to the center of town The staff were consistently helpful and courteous, and we found the room to be very satisfactory. We will use it when next we visit Dunedin.

Asure Dunedin Academy Court Motel

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Quiet considering it was on a main street
Cons: Nothing to say here
Location: 10 minutes walk from centre of city. Heaps of cafes and restaurants close by too. Close to museums.
Easy to find and no problems with parking. Rooms very functional. All cooking requirements to hand. Good laundry available.

Spacious, friendly, and hidden gem

Posted Jan 26, 2015 on Hotels
We had a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 floors for a family of four adult size people and were very happy with it. There was plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. It had plenty of seating, a kitchen table, large tv(which we never turned on), and a large bathroom. Furniture was not fancy but more than adequate. Beds were comfortable. Unit was very clean. We were able to walk down George street every day for meals and shopping. We were also visiting University of Otago and though we drove, that would be walkable as well. We loved the location. So close to everything but not in a noisy area. Very close to the botanical gardens as well. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. When I had some trouble with the laundry dryer they took it and did it for me! The wifi, though 'free' is only for one device at a time and for 6 hours of usage which you are given a login voucher for. One device must log out begore another can login. We were there for 3 nights and they did provide us with a second voucher. Wifi does not seem to be as freely accessible in area as in U.S. so not unusual. We would highly recommend and stay here again.

Comfortable stay with friendly & helpful staff

Posted Dec 31, 2014
The motel was easy to find & we stayed in a comfortable & clean 2 bed unit which had everything we needed. Staff were friendly & helpful in directing us where to go. Turned out to be very close to Otago Museum which was a bonus. :-)

Beautiful Dunedin....could've been even better

Posted Dec 25, 2014
Pros: was close to the city, without city traffic noise
Cons: The price could be reduced for the accomodation OR beds could be updated.
Location: In the heart of the city....close to all amenities
Was really looking forward to a comfortable bed when we arrived as we had driven for quite sometime.... The place was clean enough, but very outdated and the bed were small and uncomfortable. When travelling I always try to look for comfortable beds. When you're out and about all day, one must have somewhere to rest. I didn't feel rested after sleeping in the bed. That made for a grumpy me the following two days, which was not ideal.
