Not a good choice

Posted May 15, 2018
Pros: I'm thinking, it's right off I-95. Bed was clean.
Check in and front staff were good. Room was pretty bad. Fire alarm hanging from the wall, 4 of 7 light bulbs in vanity were working. Could not turn on TV from remote, after turning on remote works, carpeting on the floor was filthy, bathroom tiles loose, coming off.. This was beyond an old hotel needing updating, there were not enough outlets to have lamps and appliances in the room plugged in at one time. Quality Inn needs to inspect this one, I'm sure they will remove their name from it.

Good for the Price

This is a great place if you simply want a good rest from interstate driving. Clean bed, hot shower, free wifi, hot coffee. Older hotel, but still stylish.

(Low-)Quality Inn

Posted Jan 4, 2018
Pros: Day desk clerk, breakfast
Cons: Everything else (see above "experience" comments)
Location: Dunn, about 5 miles down US 421 has lots of shopping and restaurants. Buffaloe Bowling Center is awesome - we took our grandkids there!
The beginning of our experience wasn't bad; we checked in quickly and were assigned to the category of room we'd requested close to the office, with parking out front. Once we entered the room, things went downhill. First, the remote didn't work and the back was SCREWED ON (apparently to guard against battery theft). When I went to the office to have the batteries changed, there were NO BATTERIES. The young woman at the desk said she didn't think they had any, because someone had asked the day before and they didn't have them at that time (apparently batteries are impossible to find at the WalMart 2 miles down the road!). The hotel is supposed to have a pool, but it has been filled in and covered over - though not well. The concrete is cracked and sinking and the light poles are still installed. That area isn't used for parking, however. After our arrival, the rest of the 3-night stay we had to park about 50 feet away from the door, competing with semis for parking (they have no dedicated parking area, so they park across the available spaces). There were numerous poorly-performed repairs, peeling paint, and cracks in the room. The window unit blew air behind the curtain so it didn't reach the room until I pinned the curtain back with my shoes! There was a Q-shower with hot and cold water - intermittently throughout each shower I took. The breakfast, though skimpy, was acceptable. The only reason I didn't give this place a 1 rating was the helpful day clerk!

Could use some updating

Posted Nov 12, 2017 on Hotels
Staff was very friendly, fixtures and furniture are dated and need replacement. Room seemed relatively clean but is passed due for renovation . Relativity quiet stay and right off the interstate. Acceptable for the price we paid.

Terrible!!! Ugly and damaged building

Posted Sep 15, 2017
Pros: Customer service is OK, and the Mexican restaurant is really good.
Cons: They have to rebuild all the rooms.
Location: Great location over I95. Good restaurants around the hotel.
It is a very damaged building. Rooms very dirty and roofs with humidity.
