Great location, steps from Il Duomo, old property refurbished, great feel and character. Did not like noise and shared bathrooms part. Reception and staff were amazing, for the price and location, fully recommend!!!

Amazing location, great staff, very clean room service, friendly reception team h er helping us with taxi calls, shopping and turitist ideas enjoyed the city of artists Firenze. Please add elevator for heavy luggages to third floor and toilet in room (not a big deal, was managed). Thanks and we will vome again. Recommend!!!

Historic and Charming
There were 6 of us, two rooms. The hotel location worked perfectly for us. The hotel is charming, clean and the rooms were very spacious. The management was welcoming, attentive, and recommended places to eat. There were 3 flights of stairs to get to our rooms. We just took our time to walk up. It wasn't a problem for us. We would stay at the hotel again.

Whilst a 16th century building may entice you, the service and condition of the rooms here is not worth the initial aesthetic charm. We were aware that air conditioning is not provided, but were not expecting the absolute sauna that was our room. When we asked, politely, if there was anything that could be done, we were greeted with mostly disinterest and asked ‘what do you expect us to do?’ After asking again the second night, we were relunctantly given a portable air conditioner for our third and final night. The shared bathroom was used by at least 6 rooms and was not cleaned enough considering how many people were using it. We had to ask for fresh towels in our room and the ones given weren’t clean. I think there are many other hotels in Firenze that would provide a better stay for the price.

Great location! I didn’t realize this hotel did not have air conditioning so I was sweaty for my entire stay and I also didn’t notice that in their description, they clearly mentioned no lift so I had to drag several pieces of luggage up four flights of stairs. Other than that, the place was clean and everyone was friendly.

It’s more a Hostel not a Bed and Breakfast!
The hotel says Bed and Breakfast no breakfast service. Also, was nice but the shared bathrooms got gross fast. It was a lot of hair everywhere. I don’t know I’d stay again. Should be called a hostel not a hotel. Also, lots of stairs which I wished was stated somewhere so it wasn’t so hard to get to with all the bags. Better for backpackers. Staff was nice. And clean in the room.

Room was basic. Shared bathroom wasn't bad. (One was really nice) what's worst was .. when we got back from our evening outing, main door (it's supposed to be automatic by using the key) did not work at all. We were stuck outside for a while. We tried to call them by phone. No answer. We were afraid we'd have to go get another hotel for the night. Luckily other people who are staying different level/hotel - were able to open the main door for us. No apologies not sympathy from the staff even when we told the problem. We'll never stay here again.

The hotel was right in the center of town which made going to visit museums and other sites of interest easy. There was a shared toilet but in the room there was a shower and faucet which was nice.

Perfect location ! 2 minutes from the Duomo. This hotel mafe it feel like you were living in Florence. It had so much character! Room had no AC so it was hot at times but they give you fans which help. Shared bathrooms were always clean. This has been one of our favourite hotels we have stayed in in europe. Would go back !

Lovely hidden gem in Florence
Hidden gem in Florence . Lovely medieval building with views of duomo from our bedroom .nice continental breakfast and very helpful staff . Really good central location close to everything .the only issue some visitors may have is if they have trouble walking as this hotel is on the second floor of a building .

Old building with huge room. No AC and one fan in summer is not sufficient make comfortable sleep. Old flooring with some lifted off tiles. Shared washroom is inconvenient at times. On the positive side, it is close to attractions.

Economical, clean and secure accommodation in a great downtown location. My only negative was that the room did not include a private toilet, leading to lengthy waits while others were taking a shower or bath. A Great breakfast was included and hotel was able to accommodate my family of 5.

Thousandish old building with high ceiling gives you special experience. There are no air conditioner and freeze but if you are ready to enjoy it, take this hotel. My wife and me enjoyed this hotel but my sons didn’t feel comfortable. Try time travel !

We booked this property, a room with a shared bathroom, with a sense of false economy. There was nothing wrong with checking in or out, and the staff member that checked us in provided good information about places to see. One, the shared bathroom was not a good idea on our part as there was one for that level. It did get to be a challenge to use it when necessary. The shower, too, was about 10 inches above the floor, which made it somewhat treachorous to get in and out of. Two, the buffet was generally disappointing. Going to a bar for espresso and patries was worth the 2-3 euros over eating there. Finally, three, a great deal of southern Europe was in the midst of a heat wave. The room, being on the second level of the hotel never truly cooled down with or without windows opened or closed and the use of the fan. In truth, the hallway was cooler as was the bathroom that faced the street and the common area on that level. We had to cover ourselves at night with wet towels and direct the fan over them in order to be cool enough to sleep. It was cooler outside in the morning than in the room. This was so unpleasant that we booked another hotel after the second night of our stay, which was scheduled to be 7 nights. We are fortunate that we could do so. Of course, we were not offered a refund.

A true adventure back in tome
Loved the rustic feel to the suite. It was right in the middle of Old Florence and I truly loved the “going back in time” feel. Hated the fact that there was no air conditioning but they did have a small fan. Italian heat in July is no joke!
