Great hotel in the centre

Posted Aug 19, 2017
Had a great stay and the location was perfect, not too far from the city centre. Far enough away to be away from the hustle and bustle of main tourist routes. Great access to train station. We were given a room on the top floor with a fantastic view of the city skyline.

Great terrace and restaurant view!

Posted Aug 12, 2017
Pros: Rooftop terrace restaurant and terrace with the best view of the city!
Cons: Very busy breakfast service where we waited ten mins to get a table and ended up sitting around the corner in the bar area. Poor view from our room
Location: Sight-seeing, sight-seeing, sight-seeing! Florence has A LOT to offer and it is all very nearby!
We stayed here for 3 nights and we had a lovely time. The absolute selling point of this hotel is the view from the rooftop terrace restaurant. There is also a lovely terrace the restaurant looks down upon which has a gorgeous view of the main attractions of the city including the duomo. The breakfast restaurant indoors next to the terrace also has the same lovely view. Dinner in the rooftop restaurant was gorgeous with lovely food and wine! The only downsides were a very busy breakfast service where we waited ten mins to get a table and ended up sitting around the corner in the bar area, and it took a while to order coffee as the only coffee available on the buffet was from a pot which many people were using at once. We also paid for a delux room which was lovely as it had a reception/sitting area with the bathroom and bedroom coming off of it, however we had the worst view into a tiny little courtyard and were facing another wall across. I am not sure what the views are like from the other rooms but the front of the hotel faces onto a plain view towards the train station (currently in August 2017 there is a semi-building site right in front of the hotel). All in all I would recommend this hotel purely for the restaurant, terrace and views- don't hold out for a good view from your room though, but if you are sight-seeing like we were, we hardly spent time in the room anyway.

The hotel is in a prime location. It's across the street from the SMN train station, two blocks form the central market and down the street from the Duomo. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I were in town celebrating our honeymoon and they upgraded our room for free. Our only complaint is the 22 euro per day additional charge for a second person (my wife). The base price should include two people.

A pleasant two-night stay.

Posted Jul 10, 2017
Pros: Large and quiet room with a gigantic bathroom. The bathroom was the size of a small bedroom. Good location and great breakfast buffet.
Cons: Air conditioner sounds a bit louder in the night.
The hotel is near the train station and close to all tourist locations in the city. The receptionist was also very nice and helpful. The room itself is quite pretty and spacious, and we were lucky enough to get an enormous bathroom in room 148. The rooftop garden's view is magnificent, so no need to climb the Dome or the big tower. In addition, the breakfast buffet is really good, with plenty of different foods.

Cons: Furniture in the lobby and rooms. Bed was very uncomfortable.
It is a nice hotel but, very dated. The furnishings could use some help.

Old hotel but close to firenze station.

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Very old hotel but clean. AC loud and not very effective. Mostly attentive staff and very good breakfast. Excellent location close to Firenze train station. If you like older hotels, this is for you, personally I wouldn't stay again.
