Great location

Cons: Elevators !!!
Location: Central to most things to do.
The new facilities are very well done and comfortable. The staff were as helpful as usual

Good location but hot room and very noisy street

Pros: Location, breakfast, staff.
Cons: Entry of hot air to all rooms should be controllable (shut down if necessary). Double windows or some sort of noise protection should be installed.
Location: Great location, all historic center is walkable, including museums, restaurants and major high-end shopping.
Great location in the historic center of Florence, excellent breakfast and great staff serving at the restaurant. Unfortunately, you can only have heating or AC at the same time; during the fall/winter only heating is available and there is no way to (fully) shut down or close the radiation of hot air into the room, hence, the rooms become unbearably hot. Partially opening a window would be a reasonable solution, and it works, but depending on the side of the hotel you are staying, you may be facing the street where several disposal containers are manually dragged from 2am until 5am, and then, once you may have fallen asleep, the city garbage trucks will come and raise and dump two at a time (after the truck’s driver/operator drags each container into position and back again, normally 4-5 containers), some of them containing a large quatity of bottles that will wake up even those who drank them. Even with the windows closed it is a dramatic situation where no ear-plus will work (and please note that the hotel clean-up staff “silently” leave ear-plus on the night stands, the first night you wander silently why… only to find out the real reason sooner than later). Terrible experience even in a 2- or 3-star hotel, unacceptable for a 5-star hotel.

Beautiful hotel and amazing, helpful staff! The staff helped us with valet parking, the Florence congestion charge, and even were very very helpful to send back a piece of clothing we left behind in error. Highly recommend this hotel!!

Reception to the rescue.

Pros: The calm atmosphere and the helpful attitude.
Cons: Expedia should reimburse me for the taxi far .... 22 euros
Location: Central .... absolutely all the places of beauty and interest were accessible on foot .
Alessandro at Reception paid for my taxi and clmed me . Alba Travel had left me unmet although I had paid in advance . Thereafter the staff were most kind and advised me of the best eating places. Everything was within walking distance .

Good location, noisy and full of bugs

Bugs in the bed and room, very small rooms, no space to sit after a long day, bathroom tiny can’t move.

Perfect location and exceptional comfort!

From the moment we arrived, it was apparent that this is a very special hotel. The room proportions are exquisite and the decor is very appealing. Much thought and care have been devoted to this address. All of the staff are charming, and nothing is too much trouble. It's not really a family hotel; it has a serene, peaceful ambience. We'll be back!

Fallen Star

This hotel is an old hotel in need of renovation. The rooms are tastefully decorated with antiques but the carpeting in my room was full of stains. The room was small and uncomfortable. The maid left earplugs at turn down. The noise level from the street made sleeping impossible, even with the earplugs.
