Great Location. Less than Ideal Facilty

Posted Oct 27, 2017
The Proconsolo is in an ideal location in the old city of Florence, easy walking distance to all museums, shops and many restaurants...even the main train station. Hotel staff greeted us promptly and carried our bags up the stairs to the main floor. Staff person was also very helpful to make local phone calls to our car rental company. Our room was spacious and bed was comfortable with fresh, almost-new linens. But the floors were somewhat dirty; and the lovely, jetted tub was stained and had filthy (moldy?) jets. Basic, cold breakfast was delivered on time both mornings. The location and helpful staff made this stay a largely-positive experience.

Central to so much in Florence

Posted Oct 15, 2017
Right across street from the Duomo. In the heart of Florence, great location. But because of this, room was a bit loud up until about midnight - 1am. Comfortable large room that was clean. Staff was very helpful.

Roomy comfortable, great location

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Pros: large room, comfortable ,location
Cons: WiFi
Location: Walking distance to everything - shopping, food, grocery, sights et
Stayed at the Leonardo, large comfortable old fashioned room. Bathroom was modern including a great jacuzzi tub - good to soak after a lot of walking the olive oil toiletries were good. Breakfast was ok - croissant, coffee, yogurt ,juice If you are leaving early would be nice if they could give it in a bag. Wifi very weak As others mentioned can walk to everywhere

One night stay

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Great location just in the center of Florence. Comfortable bed and bathroom. However,AC did not work as good as we would like it to work. Unfortunately, a street was very noisy at night, so we were not able to sleep with a window open and we did not have a restful night. Next morning, ouet breakfast was served in our room ( no other option) and it was just basic . Overall just ok experience. One more thing: it is not a good place for people with difficulty negotiating stairs; to reach your room you have to climb steep stairs.

Wonderful little hotel and location

Posted Aug 21, 2017
The location of the hotel is amazing, literally two steps away from the Duomo. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, great views of the Duomo from our balcony. Air conditioning in our room worked perfectly and it was quiet to be able to sleep with it on. Breakfast is served in your room at your chosen time as the hotel does not have a dining room. Breakfast doesn't offer a huge variety, but it was enough to keep you going until an early lunch. Staff was nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone, and will repeat if I ever return to Florence.

Perfect B&B near everything!

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Pros: The room was old but well kept and spacious with aircon (essential in hot Florentine weather). The bathroom was big, clean and impressive.
Cons: Possibly the tea & coffee in the room could have been replenished daily but we were not in the room for long periods anyway.
Location: Very close to the Duomo, Baptistry and Campanile, the Palazzo Vecchio and Ufizzi, good restaurants and shops. Shop for water & essentials opposite.
This is a B&B, rather than a hotel, but it had everything that we needed for a short stay of three nights in order to see the sights of Florence. Set in a traditional residential building less than 100m from the Duomo and within walking distance of everything you might want to see, it was spacious, comfortable, relatively quiet and a good base.
