Great Hotel in the Heart of Florence

Posted Oct 2, 2017 on Hotels
Great hotel in the heart of Florence - a few steps from the Uffizi Gallery and a 1 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio. Very helpful staff. (**The only issue I experienced there was very weak wi fi - they need to work on this).

Unmatched location

Posted Oct 1, 2017
What a gem! Despite being literally in the Piazza Della Signoria, (Uffizi, Neptune statue, David replica,) this hotel was quiet and well-maintained. The desk staff was courteous and professional and the ancient building was updated and maintained. There are many small stairs on the registration floor and narrow passages, so this might be challenging for the handicapped or very large, but it definitely added to the feeling that the building has been there through some history.

Great location!

Posted Sep 18, 2017 on Hotels
If you have to drive into Florence, reconsider and take the train. This was a very nice hotel, in a great location, but it was difficult to find. Driving in to get to their parking was a challenge. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The owners were very nice, and willing to accommodate our baggage so we could see the Uffizi after we checked out. The only downside, at least for us, is that they don't have any terrace space of their own. They are, however, in a prime location with restaurants all around.

Misrepresentation of accommodations.

Posted Sep 6, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Do not misrepresent the hotel to customers
They claim to be accessible. They are not. There is a 6 to 9 inch step into hotel without ramp. The breakfast room is up a flight of stairs. They did not disclose any of these issues when I contacted them directly. No grab bars in bathroom. Can not recommend for anyone who has mobility issues. Frankly cannot recommend since they misrepresented their services to us. Was a terrible experience. Was insulting to my wife in a wheelchair. Was not right to sell us room as accessible when cannot even get into hotel.

Great location

Posted Aug 23, 2017 on Orbitz
It was a nice oasis in the hub of activity... a bit tough to find at first, but a great location overall. Given it was 102 degrees while we were there, the well running AC was appreciated. The large dining table, laundry facilities and privacy doors were all suited well for a family.

this hotel is tucked down a side street. Stayed in the main building steps away from the reception. The room was narrow but spacious. Quiet.Great breakfast. 5 mins from duomo.
