Sweet surprise

Posted Nov 22, 2017
The room we were assigned was bigger than expected. Pretty clean and comfortable. Bathroom pocket door does not lock but it’s not a big deal. Floor keeper gave us a couple of water bottles and an apple. Sweeping view in the room’s expansive window. Location is located near the embassy row. It’s a few blocks away from the metro station. A stone throw away from the shopping and eating disctrict (Connecticut Ave)

Cons: The air conditioning was a bit wonky. Room never got warm enough.
Location: Heart of DuPont Circle...great.
Great location and great service. It is a good deal when staying in Washington...the room is a good size and the beds are comfortable. The staff was super friendly too.

convenient

Posted Nov 13, 2017
Just got done with three -day weekend trip from Washington DC. We were booked at this hotel which is located in the NW side of D.C. I must say it's in a good neighborhood. I really enjoyed the idea that it has its own bar and grill restaurant. Very convenient as it was quite difficult to battle in the Morning the 35 degree weather DC was experiencing when we were there. Their breakfast meal was quite filling and had healthy choices. A hundred percent satisfaction. Provides you the energy for a whole day DC SIGHTSEEING. Your regular need. We also had dinner and the seafood soup was very much close to a lobster bisque. I had the burger and good ol' chocolate cake. Nom-mom. We were in a deluxe room with king size bed. The room was small, I Like the bed but the Bathroom was another thing. If you're a heavy set person, you will not have elbow room for the toilet seat. You will get stuck. I should have taken a photo but did not so. Middle of the night the bathroom door got locked from the inside. I had to call for counter assistance. They sent a Security guard, I guess he doubles for a maintenance guy. Although he fixed the problem, I was told not to lock it anymore from the inside. Hehehe I had to shower and do my business with the door ajar. Hotel woes! Restaurant and hotel staff. were friendly. Hotel location - good. I'd recommend the place.

The Good: Location. Kitchenette. Full sized fridge. The Bad: Old Building advertised as brand new hotel. Outdated facilities. Electronic card access malfunctioned 5+ Times. Bathroom very uncomfortable with retro sink = water spills everywhere. Very low water pressure in shower. No central air. Should have stuck to a more familiar chain hotel. Disappointed overall.

Pleasant accommodations+great location

I was not the least impressed with the bellman and front desk personnel. I approached the front desk to check in, there were one young woman and a guy both standing and looking at their keyboard. Neither one of them acknowledge my presence visually until I said "hello, I have a reservation". Very unfriendly. Not the least impressed w/their customer service attitude.

The junior suite was perfect

Posted Nov 4, 2017
I attended a conference in Washington at the end of October. The junior suite was just what we needed for my wife to hang out in while I was away. It was about the size of two regular hotel rooms, with the beds at one end and a kitchenette, couch, side chair, table with two chairs, and a desk at the other end. It was a 20 minute walk from the Washington Convention Center, and I believe about 6 blocks from the White House. The hotel and furnishings are dated but the carpets were new and the beds were comfortable. If you need a little more space to spread out and visit in the evening in your room, this would be a good choice for the price.
