In summary, I’d try a different option next time and would not rely on a sofa bed at this place.
Location is great, with plenty of nearby dining and shopping opportunities (including an excellent bookstore). The room was large.
We had a suite advertised as sleeping 4 with a queen in a bedroom and a sofa “bed” in the main area. I gave my daughter the queen and took the sofa. This was literally the worst sofabed I’ve ever slept on (and unfortunately I’ve slept on quite a few). Right as we got to our room after we checked in, the desk clerk brought an armful of linens and pillows and I had to make the bed myself. There was no mattress pad (I asked for one because the mattress was kinda stained and gross-looking, but they had none). The springs were so shot that my back went straight to the support bar; I ended up putting the couch cushions on the floor and the mattress on top of that (which was surprisingly comfortable, if a bit inconvenient).
We stayed 4 nights and never had housekeeping service (there seemed to be only a lone, overworked housekeeper, at least for our floor. She was very nice when I asked for more shampoo. We didn’t really need housekeeping, but it was a bit surprising to never get it.
The refrigerator was loud. Not like, “oh, that’s a bit loud” loud; it was so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard when it kicked on.
Breakfast was okay. A little more than continental, but short of bacon and scrambled eggs.
