Excellent friendly helpful staff. Great location!

Posted Sep 24, 2017
Excellent friendly helpful staff (the entire staff). Qutina and Semere along with all the staff made our stay perfect (our thanks to all)! All the recommendations of places to see, things to do and where to eat were excellent. Expedia VIP treatment was great. Mini suite upgrade with daily breakfast and the location was perfect. We went to the O museum a couple blocks away, recommended by Qutina and we had a ball. A mansion filled with secret doors and a wine cellar you have to find, along with ecliptic rooms to stroll through. Prince, MJ, John Lennon, Rosa Park and more. We were five blocks from Obama's and Ivanka's homes. Plenty of museums in the area to explore, most for free or a nominal donation. Major tourist attractions are within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Washington DC

Lovely hotel for a Washington City break.

Posted Sep 22, 2017
Pros: Clean, roomy, great rooms, close to metro, great friendly staff.
Location: Great Irish bar /, restaurant just round the corner. Hotel is located near lots of other bars and restaurants.
Lovely hotel located around 30 minutes walk from the main sites. However the metro is close by and gives direct links to the centre and easy connections to the airports. Hotel room had great facilities and was large and roomy. Hotel staff were excellent and any fees for WIFI were waived for our stay, No breakfast available but plenty of places to eat close by. Cannot fault this hotel for our 4 night stay for the price paid.

A very good hotel in an excellent area of Washingt

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. Every request was looked after well. About the only negative was a less than stellar breakfast. Having said that, I would be happy to stay at the Fairfax any time in the future.

LOCATION Walk everywhere, great staff, luxury room

Posted Sep 19, 2017
This hotel is 1 block from Metro station down Q street, Starbucks and loads of restaurants exiting right from hotel, CVS 2 blocks at Dupont Circle, easy walk to these. Small lobby but beautiful rooms. We had a king suite which gave us a separate sitting room with extra TV, small fridge and desk and coffee maker. Nice king bed with extra pillows standard. Bath was large with lighted makeup mirror. Room 500 overlooked front of hotel. Staff very nice as they held our luggage Sunday at checkout while we went to Dupont Circle for Farmers Market 9-1pm to view and eat bakery items, coffees, fruit/veg etc. Left sunglasses in room while at Market and staff retrieved them when we called. BEST part of the day is around 5-6pm when fresh cookies are waiting for you by elevator! Nice touch! Great doormen to great you. Give uber driver cross street (21st Street) as its on the corner of Massachusetts & 21st. Took METRO subway everywhere to visit Arlington Cemetery, Capital, Lincoln/Washington monuments. Easy to use and very clean. Will be back here for sure!!

Overall nice hotel, good location, friendly stay

Posted Sep 18, 2017
I had a great stay, thank you! My room was spacious, the hotel staff was very friendly. Only downfall is the lack of room service - that would have been a very nice amenity. I was under the weather during my stay, so room service would have been a nice perk.

Very nice location and reasonable pricing

Posted Sep 18, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, nice hotel and conviently located.
Cons: Breakfast buffet
Location: The DuPont station metro is close by. We even walked to the White House from the hotel (it was a longggggg walk but doable!)
This is our third stay at the Fairfax. The staff are always extremely friendly. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The location is pretty central to a lot of things, including a short walk to the metro station. The breakfast buffet was included as part of our third party booking, if I had to pay I would have not been happy. Very expensive for a continental breakfast and the employee managing the room did a terrible job keeping the food items stocked. But there are plenty of delicious food options in the area, including breakfasts. All within a short walk.

Good hotel with easy access to the key sights

Posted Sep 17, 2017
Close to DuPont Circle Metro station, giving access across the City and beyond, The Fairfax is a good hotel with friendly staff, very comfortable beds and reasonably sized rooms. The only negative was that it lacks a bit a soul - no real lobby area where people hang out.
