Appreciate the charm of an older building and the upgrades being made. Definitely need to work on the HVAC situation as the heat was a bit high in the room without being able to do anything about it, but overall a pleasant experience.

The hotel lacked garage parking, and the accommodations were notably compact. During my stay, I encountered construction activity on the premises. Upon addressing this issue, I was informed that notification of the construction had been provided on their website, albeit in a less conspicuous manner. Despite the courteous demeanor of the staff member who assisted me upon check-in, his ability to resolve my concerns was limited due to his role. Given these experiences, I would advise against spending money on this establishment for future accommodations.

The staff were quite nice. Room was clean and beds were good, but there was a leak and the bathroom door handle broke off. WiFi was basically not usable. Heat was not on the first day but it was unusually cold so I guess they didn’t prepare but they turned it on after a few of us asked. The area is quiet and residential and easy to walk.

We loved our stay and only wish it could have been longer. Wonderful glass of wine from 5-6, we were a bit late but were whisked two glasses. Huge comfy, clean room and bed. Oversized shower, marble sink coffee maker everything we needed. We were also super lucky to snag a free parking spot on the street as it was the weekend. Thank you!

The Normandy isn’t the most modern building but is in a great location for the embassies and the hotel staff are so polite and helpful.

I have stayed many times at various hotels in DC, and The Normandy now ranks as my favorite. It is in a gorgeous neighborhood, with ample free street parking on the weekends and many restaurants within walking distance. The staff that we dealt with were incredibly friendly and our room was lovely. I plan to stay here again when I return to DC.

Should have paid more attention but there is no microwave in room or refrigerator so that kind of sucked for bringing food. Nice area close to food and etc but absolutely no parking near. Expect a 5-7 min walk to a parking garage. Room temp never went above 71 degrees despite it being set to 80 degrees. Can’t speak for the breakfast as I wasn’t going to spend $15 a person on something I normally get for free. Complementary champagne from 5-6 pm but was never at the hotel during that time so not sure if it was good. Overall stay was decent but for the price was hoping for the things I’m normally use to. Hotel and room was clean. Nice hotel for like a nights stay but for 3 I would have maybe booked elsewhere.

While there is not a microwave in every room, there is a communal one in the lobby if one ever needs to use it and we are also happy to hold any items that you need in our kitchen fridge as well! Additionally, we are pleased to report that our front patio project will conclude by the middle of March and our parking garage will be open to hotel guests again! Again, we deeply apologize that you did not have the best experience at our hotel, but we really hope to get another opportunity to accommodate you again and ensure your expectations are met and exceeded. We aware that you had discovered this individual resting on your way to check out and this caused you frustration and that you requested compensation, but we would like to reiterate that the hotel does not employ and is not affiliated with this person, as we do not regularly have overnight security. We do take the safety and security of our guests and team members very seriously, which is why there is a team member at the Front Desk 24/7 to assist anyone in need. Again, we are very sorry that this situation made you feel unsafe and we hope to get another opportunity to accommodate you to show you the what the true Normandy experience is all about!

I was in town for an event, so I stayed only two nights. It was less than 10 minutes away from everything I needed to get to. It had the feel of a small, boutique-like hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but I guess it's a typical room for a big city hotel. I thought $15 for a continental breakfast was a bit much, but again, that may just be big city prices. There is construction in the front of the building, so it is noisy, but only in the daytime. But until the construction is over, I suggest you do not stay in room 201. It faces the front, so the construction workers have a direct line of site to that room. All in all, I would recommend it, and I would stay there again.

Cozy neighborhood hotel in DC
Love this hotel for the location, coziness, happy hour and nice staff. Only downside was no parking garage availability and construction in front was distracting and noisy in the morning. But it's a cute hotel in nice part of DC; will definitely stay there again.

We loved the customer service, they all really made us feel welcome. The staff was accommodating, on arrival during checking we got a lot of information about the surrounding areas, local shops and distance to different sightseeing options. The hotel's cleanliness was a plus, it smells nice and it is very much updated. The elevator did stop working a couple of times but we attributed this to the construction that was being done in the courtyard. It's a very nice hotel for its value.

The hotel is actually very nice. I took some stars off because nowhere was it disclosed that there are renovations going on which have closed off the main entrance and the driveway. Not only do they not have valet parking, which is mentioned in the description, they literally have NO place to park your car to check in and they tell you to find street parking when you call. I ended up getting one of the closer garages because I have lots of stuff in my car, and it was an $8 Lyft or 22 minute walk. I am not mad that they are making the facility better, but I am put off by their nondiscloure if the situation and the attitude of some of the employees regarding the problems caused for customers. The room was great for the price, though.

It was a great hotel. It was under construction, but the service was very accommodating. Some features were dated and very limited parking. Our stay was comfortable and pleasurable. All in all it was a great hotel.

The location was perfect for our needs (one night in DC for dinner with family). There was no parking on site. You had to bring the car down the hill to the Hilton lot. This was not what was on the website. The hotel is being renovated in the front, which was not a major concern, but there was no place to even park the car as you were loading/unloading. The room was nice. The bathroom spacious and the shower good. The bed was, as advertised, comfortable. The staff was very accommodating to the point of lending us an umbrella for our walk to breakfast. All in all, I would stay there again but be more prepared for the walk to park.

No parking within a mile. It was not mentioned on the site there is no parking. It said there is construction, but if you need to park on the street, forget it. I had to park a mile away, after looking for a parking spot for an hour, and then take an uber to the place. This after a ling trip at 9 pm, was not fun.

Good and comfortable in a great location
Nice hotel in a good location in Georgetown area. Comfortable and clean. It is an older building as would be expected in that area, but it is well maintained, and teh staff are very friendly and helpful.

Cute hotel, clean and pretty comfortable. Some cons, lots of sewer flies in the bathroom/room. The rooms really need blackout curtains. Elevator was touch and go. Staff very friendly!

great little hotel with Character and charm. Currently getting some renovations done outside, but rooms were very good, and wine hour is a nice touch by a great staff.
