We planned a last minute trip to snowboard and wanted to be close to the mountain and when looking for places stumbled upon Country Sunshine. The property was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for as far as convince to the mountain. The room was spacious, yet very cozy! We really enjoy our time here and would love to come back! Walter and Jody were awesome hosts and we really enjoyed our first Bed & Breakfast experience.

The value of this place outstrips the prices that they charge. Our room was excellent, stylish and modern, with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet, even though the place was full. The Manager was super friendly, and personable, and check in was so easy. There is a coziness there that is so different from the corporate feel of other hotels. Thanks, Adventure Inn!

We appreciate your sharing with other travelers your experience here AND the Kudos for the guys!! The goal has always been to be different- but better. Concentrating on what matters the most: comfort, cleanliness, helpful and approachable staff.Following COVID we feel travelers are looking for an EXPERIENCE: beautiful sights, diversity of foods/drinks, a variety of things to do- hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, train ride… and human kindness – that is Durango Colorado! We got there late due to weather but the key to the room was in the mailbox. Clean & quiet. Great location & price for what we needed. Would stay here again!

Its just a modest motel. What are the reviwers on? You suckered me into this place over a great deal at a posh hotel in town. Tiny room. Weak water pressure. You hear car noise at all times. Weird roku tv. Was woken up at 2am by drunks. Its not a bad value, but, in no way a 9 star hotel.

"Posh" would not equate to the least expensive 'Small Queen room'. Yes, we are a modest (2-star) Historic Motel. The reviews are based on the cleanliness and outstanding guest service. Take care.

This motel offers modest accommodations, but we really enjoyed staying here. It was clean, and thankfully the shower water temp and pressure was excellent! Staff was extremely nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Convenient motel on the road to slopes
If you want to be left alone just do skiing and sleeping in the room that is well heated, quiet and has abundance of hot water this is the right place for you. We wanted just that and it served the purpose. If you want daily cleaning, coziness of the winter lodge, space, then this is not the place for you. My family enjoyed it.

Staff were great. Bed was comfortable! Rooms need to be cleaned further hair pieces in bed, used qtips in drawer and also walls with drink spills and under the bed was not clean.

It is an older hotel but has been kept clean and tidy. Small business owner who actually worked the lobby/reception was very appreciative of our business. It was comfortable and the location was perfect for the plans we had made.

We REALLY appreciated the cleanliness and the power of the shower head!! The coffee, and the variety of herbal teas with the insta-hot pot available in the lobby was also appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff. Overall nice place.

Stayed here overnight on a road trip and it was a nice place. The parking lot was a little small so we didn’t get to park next to our room, but other than that it’s close to food places, hiking, shops, really anything you could do down here.

Bad stay started with us calling at 11am asking if we could get an early check in. Simple yes or no is all that is required in this situation. Instead the people thought we needed to call back several times and each time, including at check in, I had to hear why they did not want us checking in early. Stay ended with them attempting to tow our car at 6am for parking for 10 minutes in a spot they didn’t like while we loaded our car.

When we can accommodate, we DO. Check-in is at 2 p.m. as is noted on your reservation confirmation. We are a small 25-room motel, On the date of your stay ALL rooms were occupied *we did not have a room to offer you at 11 a.m.* (time of checkout). NO ONE called a tow truck at 6 a.m., in fact, no employees were on property until 7 a.m.!

Great place to stay overnight or longer!
I had not stayed in a motel in a while and expected something very utilitarian. My expectation we’re not met. This place was charming, clean and comfortable. There were details that made a difference like a night light in the bathroom, 2 luggage stands and a container with cleaning cloths so you don’t use towels to clean mud out of your car. The front desk staff were great and friendly and the location was very convenient.
