Disappointed

Cons: Customer service!!!!!!
Our stay was OK.. The breakfast we very disappointing because the gravy was like water and on the second day there was no 2% milk in the fridg. The biggest disappointment was that we were scheduled for 3 nights but on the morning of the second day we had a family emergency and we need to leave after the 2nd night. I explained our problem with the hotel staff and asked if I could cancel the last night. They said NO. Even after giving them 30 hours advance notice they would not cancel our last night so I had to pay for a night I didn't use. They only care about their stupid rules and profits instead of the customer. I will NEVER stay there again.

Nice hotel and good location. No hot tub thus I did not give it a three-star. Did find a used bar of soap in the soap dish by the sink when we arrived. Helpful and friendly staff.

Bed was too small,when to ask for a change room, was informed we couldn't since I booked with your company,. Found mole in the restroom, informed front desk, when housekeeping went into clean they took care of the mole.

Small cramped rooms

Low water pressure, bad basic breakfast, poor heating and air conditioning it was very noisy and drafty. Didn't get much for money it reminded me of a bad college dorm room , very tiny for two beds, no dressing area and a tiny bathroom.

First time staying in a Comfort Inn and Suites

Pros: It was okay
Cons: I would improve the communications with management and the public. Also Expedia should know the cancellation policy and tell the customer.
Location: Okay location for what we were going to do-ride the train. As said we did not do that as my husband (72) and myself (71) were exhausted and came home
The hotel itself was okay. It was when we checked out that we had problems. We were to stay 3 nights in Durango. My husband and I had been on the road for 2 weeks and we got up the next morning and decided we were exhausted so we decided to forgo the Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Train and check out and come home. This is when all the problems started. The lady at the desk would not give us an invoice for the one night said we had to go through Expedia since that is where we booked the reservations. In the first place I did not know I did not book direct with the hotel as that was the number I called. The lady at the desk says sometimes they transfer if we can get a better price. We were not told of any cancellation policy by Expedia or at the hotel when we check in. The lady at the desk said we would have to talk with Expedia. I called Expedia while sitting in the parking lot and talked with a very nice gentleman. He said Expedia did not have a cancellation plan it was the hotel. I told him what they had said and he called the hotel and they told him that they had called the GM and he said not refund. My husband then went back into the hotel and talked with the Manager on duty and she said that was their policy and maybe if they rented the room then they might consider a refund. Of course, we can prove they booked it or did not book it as we had already checked out packed and ready to come home-Marrietta, GA. I will NEVER book reservations at ANY Comfort Inn.

Very Disappointing for the price

Pros: Room seemed clean and well appointed.
Cons: The quality of food and service in the breakfast area, quicker maintenance for simple items, and more attention to the restrooms.
Stayed One night as part of a cross country trip with family. The room was nice enough, but everything else fell far short of expectations. The remote control for the TV did not work, and after an hour wait for maintenance we just told them to forget it. There was a complementary hot breakfast, but the quality was quite low. One does not expect much for a complementary hot breakfast, but the eggs(?) were tasteless, the waffle area was a messy disaster area, and butter was nowhere to be found. The final straw was the men's room in the lobby: I walked into a disgusting mess, and I'll spare the details. Just not what I would expect for $200.

July 4th holiday

We were second in line to check in. The clerk was explaining to a couple why the room rate was so high. He said, "It's Durango. Everything is stupid expensive." He told them they may find a cheaper hotel at the other end of town.The couple left. We checked in and went to the room. It was blazing hot. The AC ran most of the evening and the room was still hot. When my wife was removing the brown top comforter (?) from the bed there was a stain that resembled dried smeared soap or hand lotion. Use your imagination to determine what it was. She put it on the floor and removed the top sheet from the bed and put that on the floor. The next morning I called and talked to Dave or Dale at the front desk and told him I wanted that removed and replaced. He said ok. After that incident how can I trust the cleanliness of anything there. Even the food bar. I won't stay there again. Not worth it. I'll stay in another town and drive into Durango.
