Pros: hotel was basic but well priced. Checkin staff friendly and helpful. Location good, walking distance to town centre & closer than many other hotels
Cons: Well, it was basic, but the price we paid reflected this. We were happy, the room was clean and quiet and everything we needed
Location: Very close to the river and train line. 15 minutes to the heart of town

Very late check in & was greeted and made to feel welcome. All staff was very friendly. Room was clean and stocked the basic amenities. Room is quite small. Noise from parking lot is present and parking is tight if you arrive late, but there are spaces in back usually. It's a reasonable option of you want a clean room but aren't expecting too much.

Convenient layover

The Econolodge Durango provides a basic inexpensive nights stay. Location is convenient to downtown restaurants including a couple of breweries. The continental breakfast provided was just okay, with weak coffee, but there's plenty of that available at Carvers Brewing down the road. Most importantly the Econolodge was clean and in good repair.

Pros: The outside looked better than the inside.
Cons: Almost everything, staff was nice.
Location: Downtown Durango & surrounding area was nice.
Not clean, outdated, no heat, room was way too cold when we arrived. Switched rooms three times & none were very nice.

Staff was really kind, but no laundry was a little bit inconvenience for motels like this.

Clean room but old

The rooms are clean and the staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is good with coffee, tea and juice options as well as cereal, instant oatmeal, bread for toast, donuts, bagels and my favourite the waffles you make yourself. However, temperature control in the rooms are difficult because it's old. It's water heat and cooled. Kind of loud too. No fridge or coffee in the rooms but if you're just looking for a cheap, clean place to stay for a night or two - it'll be okay.

It was a clean quite place to sleep for a few hours. But it didn't have a microwave access 24 hrs so we had to delay our departure by forty minutes to warm food up.Night staff was great morning staff not so hospitable.

Simple accommodations, more than sufficient.

Pros: Right along Highway 160, easy parking, check-in, basic but sufficient accommodations.
Cons: New bedspreads - a very slight investment for the massive upgrade in appearance and "newness".
Location: Grab a bite and a brew in the bar district - I was only passing through, but there's a significant outdoor sports/camping community there.
Easy access to main drag but not in the thick of it. Friendly staff, helpful with recommendations and directions, check-in was quick and welcoming. Room was clean, simple, all rooms non-smoking (smoking outside ok), decent towels, soaps, shampoo, etc. It's a basic, inexpensive room. Temp control was one of the oldest I've seen but worked just fine. Bed was comfortable, sheets were nicer than they had to be (I've stayed in other Econo Lodges, these sheets, pillows, and even the mattress felt nicer than the norm). I usually arrive/leave late, all were more than accommodating for this (though I missed the continental breakfast...).
