These are the Mesa Verde Cliff Dwellings in Colorado Our journey on the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad was one of the best days of our Colorado road trip. With jaw-dropping vistas at every turn, it is one of the most scenic routes in the US. It's a must for every Colorado bucket list!
http://thetradingtravelers.com/traveling-through-time-on-the-narrow-gauge-railroad/ This little pub serves up incredibly tasty brews made on site by Eric, a dedicated brewer who honed his skills at nearby Carver's for 12 years before setting up his own establishment. The friendly staff and simple yet delicious menu make this hidden gem well worth a visit! This hotel, built in 1888 by Henry Strater, is a fun step back in time with a fabulous decor, superior staff, elegant bar and fine dining room. Each room of the Strater is dedicated to an honorable individual, and a large jacuzzi room is available free of charge to guests for some private soaking time. This place is relatively inexpensive and highly enjoyable! Durango & Silverton Railroad Serious Texas Bar-B-Que is the name of this place, and they mean it. Delicious sandwiches, ribs, or simply juicy meat by the pound at good prices, as well as access to hot or mild sauces for drowning it all. Family-friendly but they also carry a small selection of bottled beers. Great place to go tubing and rafting for free! Plenty of parking. Bike path also. The Animas River is perfect for a hot summer day! You can bring a tube and just float down or pick different parts of the river to take your raft into white waters! All aboard!
