Idyllic holiday location

We had such a restful and calming stay in Zimbali Lodge, a most beautiful place. We really couldn’t have been better treated by all the friendly staff. Although it was lovely feeling as if we were in the middle of the jungle, the view from our balcony may have been better if the foliage was kept a little lower, although this may not be practical. After visiting the Resort we much preferred the Lodge. We played the golf course which was not only a lovely course to play but a wonderful wildlife experience too. Thanks for a great holiday.

Phone was not working and also no room service in the rooms!

middle of nowhere

Location: POOR LOCATION
the photos are not clear as to the hotel and lodge. the lodge is a 10 minute drive from the hotel and the three restaurants on the property. the vegetation is seriously overgrown.

Fairmont Zimbali Lodge, Not so great after all

I was looking really forward to treating myself with a stay, however it was my first and last stay at Zimbali Lodge. The service from reception was terrible. There is no room service at the lodge, you've got to call reception to get a porter to fetch you and take you to reception, and a shuttle takes you from reception to the resort, where the restaurants are situated. My porter just didn't show up, so I did not have dinner. Also, the signage isn't clear at night, and no one gives you proper directions.
