Good hotel but in the beach is better

Very clean and nice hotel , but if you want to visit Durban you must booking hotel in beach area , you will enjoy this city if you stay on beach , because once the night start you can't do any thing in the area which Hilton coated in , and it's not safe to go outside in the night , but in the beach you can stay outside, It was very nice hotel but the location not the best , maybe if they offer shuttle bus to the beach in the future it will be improvement

Hotel was nice, however being so close to an open air nightclub at the time was very unpleasant. The noise from outside was so loud and the room did not have sufficient sound proofing to block out this constant noise.

Family stay

We enjoyed the staff, warm and friendly. We were allowed to check early, and the restaurant area is very nice, the food was good. However, we were disappointed with the rooms, 50 shades brown and utterly unexciting contrary to the décor in rest of the hotel. The car park smelled quite badly of urine, not fit for a hotel in this price bracket.

Extremely Disappointed

I've stayed here many times before but this stay for one night on business was particularly bad. The nuts in the dessert that I ordered were rancid and I could not eat the chocolate brownie at all. The speedpoint machine for payment of the room service didn't work so after three attempts and my room service dinner getting cold they had to come again so that I could pay. My shower door didn't open and close easily and I had to use excessive force to open and close the door. The next morning there was no water pressure with hot water. Only water pressure with cold water......so I had to have a cold shower. The mini bar was locked when I arrived and I had to call to get it opened just to put two of my own drinks in it. The bar was emptied in the evening. To my horror they locked the mini bar so I couldn't get to my drinks until it was opened again the next morning. Overall a disappointment......,,I also asked to speak to a manager when checking out but there was none available.
