Met Expectations

The building used to be an apartment complex but it has been renovated and refreshed. You have to look for the signs of age. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the Hotwl was right on the beach with good access to the airport and shopping. Ushaka Village is a decent walk down the beach but after a sumptuously delicious breakfast I needed the walk. No complaints my expectations were met and surpassed.

Room upgrade was a nice surprise. Staff were very helpful, storing luggage until room was available (as we were early) and delivering it to our room!

Great views close to the beach.

I presented a paper at the facility and was upgraded to a suite. The pizza bar is great with phenomenal red wine. When in Durban I will stay here, it's close to the casino too!

Last minute booking

It was a last minute booking cause we had to attend a funeral in Durban. I love the newly renovated dinning room. Combining the modern with the traditional. The waiters were always on key.

Great beach views; could use some renovations.

The staff is a five star staff. I found them to be friendly and accoodating; always smiling. There were several issues with my room which the front desk staff handled right away. There was a misunderstanding concerning an additional day I requested. In the end the problem was solved. However I thought the situation was handled poorly by management. Overall it was a hotel I would have returned to. However on my last evening I witnessed a manager yelling at one of the workers as if he were a child. All workers should be treated with respect. As as manager, if I had to correct an employee it would be in private and it would be done so that the employee would walk away with his dignity in tact. Because of what I (a customer) witnessed I would never return to a hotel where workers are treated with such disrespect.

Great Overnight Accomodation

This was a very rewarding experience. The room was extremely spacious, clean and the bed was most comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional - as was the service from very friendly, polite staff. I will only use the Blue Waters in future.

Everything Excellent apart from the poor Wi-Fi

I stayed in a double room with a sea-view room and balcony. Good size room with a very comfortable bed and a good shower. All staff are very helpful. I only had breakfast at the Hotel and I cannot fault it, from Patience who fried my eggs in the morning, the waiters and the food, everything was Top Quality. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi, it is very weak and at times non existent, if you need to download boarding passes tickets etc etc for your return journey then you need to find an internet cafe.

Amazing experience during Comrades 2017

Was here for the Comrades Marathon and had a wonderful experience the Blue Waters. Very nice n spacious suite for a family of 3. And I guess the only hotel with galleries that opened up to an amazing view of the ocean and beachfront. Great service too. They started breakfast for Comrades runners at 2 AM, which I think was a fantastic gesture. Thank you n see you next year

Don't miss the breakfast
