Payed for parking with no guarantee of a space. Extractor fan in bathroom not working (should be checked before room is booked out). Breakfast on first day you dont do fried eggs. Second breakfast had to wait 5 mjnuets for poached egg and when it arrived there was three eggs also sausage and bacon over cooked as for your rating of four stars i would say thats a joke. Also looked like ther was not enough staff to cover the desk and breakfast. WILL NOT STAY OR RECOMEND THIS HOTEL. Would rather go to Premier inn

Sleepless night
Unfortunately I was in room 308 which is next to the flag. I think it’s the flag that was making that noise, so with every gust of wind it was like a fun shot and in between the gunshot it was like a cage was being rolled back and forth in the room next door. Not sure why this rooms allowed to be used if there’s a high wind. To say I was tired for work the next day is an understatement, only stayed so I could be fresh and hit work quicker.

Not recommended, poor experience
Small sized room compacted like a ghetto. Lift was not working, had to take steps with luggage to go to third floor. Request for a lower floor rejected perhaps since this was not a direct booking. Breakfast quality not adequate to match the price. Overall a very poor experience.

Lovely hotel clean and friendly thought there wasnt enough staff for breakfast only one lad on running out of juice and bread having to wait around for it but he coped really well considering so well done to him 5 stars

Terrible, tried to call the desk several times due to roadworks and couldn’t find the hotel and car park. Could not get through to reception for over 45 minutes. They directed me to a car park half a mile away as the on site car park was blocked due to road works. Hotel room was dirty, mould on the windows and smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Asked to speak with management but nobody was available until after we had to checkout

Breakfast offering was way below 4 star, unacceptable , no orange juice just water, continental selection looked old and dried. Rooms were misrepresented in photos, good photographs that made the room look much bigger, windows not cleaned in years, pigeon poo inches deep on window sills. Car park closed, no compensation for this.

Cheap, friendly, no frills, no free parking
A bit tired. Soap dispensers many feet above the bath. Noisy overnight (people chatting loudly in rooms in the small hours). Breakfast uninspiring. No free parking and on-site is cramped and fills quickly. But lovely staff, good location for town centre, clean and good value. Bar is good value too.

I was supposed to be meeting friends there for a college reunion but many were given last minute cancellations, sometimes with only a few hours before check-in, it spoilt our reunion and the hotel refused to explain their actions.

The reason I gave 4 for facilities was simply because they had no electricity in the kitchen so I had to go out for a meal. The receptionist was extremely helpful. There was also a false fire alarm but was handled very quickly and professionally. And I certainly never felt in danger. The breakfast was delicious! The best I have had at a hotel for a very long time! Would definitely stay again. Room big, and has everything you need. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron. And if you do forget toiletries there’s some very nice stuff in the shower. The bed beyond comfortable. I stayed in a twin room but the bed is roomy. The area around the hotel is clean. Close to the shops, some look a bit tired and unkempt. That doesn’t take anything away from the hotel. Would recommend & return. A big thanks to all the staff 😊 Clare Holmes

Very frustrating 3 night stay. On 2 of the 3 nights, the floor my room was on was very noisy so getting to sleep and staying asleep was really hard. Rooms next to and close to mine were up till past 2pm partying, singing shouting and drinking heavily. I like a beer too but it was a nightmare. No respect for others. Won’t stay here again.

Don’t expect too much!
On the first morning we were frantically woken up by housekeeping at 8am, who said she would come back later. We left the hotel around 10am and came back around 3 the room still wasn’t cleaned. When I called receptionist, they lied and said we had a sign on the door which we didn’t. They sent someone up when we went out. The bin was emptied but no liner replaced, we weren’t given anymore toilet roll or tissue, and the floor wasn’t cleaned. The next morning around 8 we were awoken by some sort of alarm that went of for about 3 minutes.
