A great location near Durham city centrePosted Aug 12, 2015
Pros: The firendly staff made the place.
Location: Close to the city centre.
Probably the most friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in. The concierges where very helpful. the receptionists were brilliant and the restaurant staff took time to discuss the menu options. One of the off duty staff offered to give us a lift into town as we enquired about public transport. Over and above the call of duty. The restaurant was exceptional value and the meal deal we were offered was outstanding. Unexpected quality.

AvoidPosted Aug 11, 2015
Terrible experience. Got a room over the kitchen, sweltering hot. Staff wouldn't help, got no sleep.

Very comfortable rooms with great spacePosted Aug 10, 2015
Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding nearby and we arrived VERY late from London on Friday night. Hotel were happy to check us in, even at that hour, very accommodating and reassuring to ask for any help if we needed it. Room was spacious with extremely comfortable bed and bathroom was gorgeous with large tub, walk in shower. Perfect to relax in. We had breakfast in room on the Saturday, good choice and presented nicely. Very very happy overall and we'd definitely go back. Staff were really friendly, id spoken to about 5 different members over weekend and all so helpful.

Close to the motorway, comfortablePosted Aug 10, 2015
Good location close to the motorway, very comfortable bed. Good breakfast selection (buffet). Our room was at the start of the hallway so a little noise in the morning with everyone opening the door, but other than that a quiet night.

Location: Right next to park and ride into Durham.

Excellent Hotel in every wayPosted Jul 28, 2015
Location: Good all round location 30 mins to Sunderland coast line, five mins into Durham with its many heritage sites.
Had to travel to the Sunderland for a funeral, picked Ramside Hotel as a last resort as there was little else available, thank goodness we did, a super hotel in every aspect.

Nice golf/wedding/ holiday hotelPosted Jul 27, 2015
Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Carvery restaurant reasonable price, food Ok. Main restaurant food great but expensive when you add veg and potato on. Extensive building going on at side of hotel, but not intrusive.

Wonderful ExperiencePosted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: The room was large, well equipped and decorated. Great dinner and breakfast.
Location: We stopped there because of distance from our destination. Durham looked like a great town, but we didn't have the time to explore.
This hotel is top notch. Restaurants great, room beautiful. Wish we were there longer. They offer golf packages. Definitely recommend that als0

Nice hotel but could be so much betterPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Golf course
Cons: Water flow and information
This is a 4 star hotel but some things let it down. The room we got was comfortable and quite big. No a/c though so I imagine it may get quite hot. The bathroom was modern and clean but the shower flow was pitiful. The information for guests in the room was non existent and we had to look at the web page just to find out what dining was available. The hotel caters for weddings so is quite busy and noisy at times. Drunk people make lots of noise in the corridor and we were constantly wakened until about 3:30 in the morning.
