Great hotel with a great location

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: More kid friendly food options by the pool
Location: Great view of the beach and many restaurants nearby
Stayed here for just one night while passing through but could have stayed much longer. Spent the afternoon at the pool. The staff was friendly and served up delicious cocktails and food. Could have used a few more kid friendly options on the pool snack menu but we made do. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We have stayed here several times before and will do so again when we are in the area.

Very disappointing

Pros: Great location
Cons: Renovate the hotel. Hire more professional staff.
Hotel is dated, poorly maintained, and shabby. Unprofessional waiters in the restaurant. Obnoxious, loud, unruly crowd at the small pool. For the money we paid ($600/room), this was a big disappointment and a waste of money. Gives Hyatt a bad name.

Close to the beach.

Hotel hasn't been updated. AC was so loud, pillows smelled bad and carpets were so dirty. We paid over $500 per night and had a terrible experience. Couldn't believe this is Hyatt.

Nice hotel next to beach.

Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Room air conditioning.
Location: You can walk to east beach, take shuttle to wharf, or quick ride to the zoo.
Great staff and nice location. We also got complimentary snacks and drink which was unexpected treat. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Tired property updated by Hyatt location location

Pros: Location location location - directly across the street from the public beach
Cons: I suppose it could be demolished and replaced but other than that Hyatt just has to keep chipping away at the deferred maintenance.
Location: Beautiful public beach and great breakfast spot on the beach right across from the hotel.
We have stayed at this property over the years despite the fact that it cannot help but show its age. Hyatt re-badged it a few years ago and did a good job room freshening and provided better management than the previous operators. They still have some difficulty assigning rooms which are spread over multiple buildings, however our Expedia prepaid reservation was recognized and honored. There seemed to be some trepidation in assigning our room - perhaps due to the Expedia pricing. One caution, there is a $28/night parking fee - and the only way to avoid that is to park off property - that is, street parking which is not practical as the property is so well located at the beach. Count on paying for parking.

It should not have been classified as 4 star but say 2-3 star. Not one building but several different ones.

We are in the process of searching for a TV solution for our guest rooms that do not have easily accessible buttons, as the buttons on our TV's are right on top of the unit. Often times when a guest is feeling around for the power switch, they inadvertently touch the input button, which is the cause of so many requests to have the TV repaired in a guestroom. Please be assured that until we replace the TVs, our team is more than happy to come to a room and make the correction. Thank you again and we are looking forward to your return

Bait/Switch no notice, no anenities!

Horrible! This place (and by extention Hyatt) knowingly shown you pictures then stick you in a rundown Annex 1/2 mile away there are zero amenities. If I could have moved to another hotel on such short notice I woukd have. AC was a wall unit. It was like Motel 6 but at Hyatt prices! Pure deception! Hyatt is killing their brand with this kinda thing. Will never book without validating again. They lost my trust!
