This is a very beautiful and special hotel with a wonderful staff, great location and wonderful food. Highly recommended. Caveat the beach road getting here is a little rough. A four wheel drive or jeep is best but can be done with regular vehicles.

If you do stay here, make sure to come prepared
We didn’t do our research… Everyone else had grocery shopped, brought their own drinks, and generally didn’t rely on the restaurant/bar there. Also the drinks were all watered down. Recommend a car and some solid prep in advance- this spot is beautiful but not near any resources

Zayra (reception) reserved a fishing charter for us. $400 for two people, 4 hours. PERFECT TRIP! Captain sent us home w/ 10 16 oz filet of fish steaks. Highly recommend this trip.
Beautiful breeze and moonlight evening set the stage for another amazing dinner in paradise.
Pre-sunrise at was the perfect time to take the hotel’s courtesy kayaks and standup paddle board for a long and relaxing cruise. Our morning ritual. Thanks to the manta rays putting on a show each morning as they breached and triple flipped.
Once you’ve paddled at sunrise on the Sea of Cortez from the hotel’s shoreline, you’ll want to get out of bed at 5.30am every day!

Hay dos características de este hotel que no vas a encontrar en ningún otro. La primera, su ubicación. Tiene una playa privilegiada y naturalmente privada; desde tu habitación puedes escuchar y ver a las mantarrayas saltar en el mar, una de las tantas especies que habitan el lugar. Otra característica importante es el staff del hotel. Es como si los conocieras de siempre, atentos, amables y cálidos. No es el punto a elegir si no puedes vivir sin internet y canales de televisión, ya que este servicio es muy limitado, pero te aseguro que la naturaleza y el ambiente compensan esto. Hay actividades que puedes realizar como snorkeling, SUP, Paseo en ATVs o cuatrimotos, pesca, kayak, entre otras. El tiempo de calidad que viví con mi familia en este maravilloso lugar será inolvidable. Vente preparado con vehículo 4x4 porque el camino para llegar es de terracería. También trae tus propios snacks, porque no hay una tienda cercana. La comida es deliciosa y se duerme excelente.

The view is amazing. The rooms are outdated. Internet not working properly. Could not connect in the room. TV is only in Spanish. Food is expensive. Staff does their best but the resort needs a renovation. There’s nothing around the resort. If you’ve been there before and you know what to expect, then you won’t be disappointed.

The location is gorgeous and secluded, had an amazing time kayaking at the beach. We stayed in the bridal suite with the jacuzzi, disappointed that the jets didn’t work though. The property is clean and well kept, the restaurants were just ok, nothing outstanding. Overall it was a great stay.

Beautiful remote resort
Beautiful resort well away from town. Incredibly peaceful and serene. Incredible staff and hospitality. You will need an offroad capable vehicle to get to and from the resort. Which for us we love, it keeps the resort quite private as it is hard to get to for many people not comfortable with offroad travel.

This is a lovely resort once you get there....access is a little challenging over rough dirt roads. We were very impressed with all of the staff who went out of their way to accommodate. The dinner service at night is slow so plan to enjoy a cocktail while you wait. Food was acceptable but not outstanding. This is a great place for a couples getaway or to book several rooms for a friends or family reunion. Offers snorkeling, paddleboarding, swimming, ATV rentals, a nice beach area, and ocean views from your private room patio. Beds are comfy and bath is nicely appointed. Internet is a little spotty during times of heavy usage. We enjoyed our time there.

Beware: the WiFi/Internet is not as advertised
We were really counting on the in-room WiFi for some work obligations while we stayed here. It was a deciding factor between several options and we chose this hotel based on that fact. In reality, they had very slow (like 4MB download, <0.5MB upload) speeds and it was only available in the common areas near the hotel office - nothing at the rooms. Really slow HughesNet connection, so don't count on video chat or even quality voice calls. The water was hot in only 2 or our 3 rooms we rented with friends. All of our rooms' exterior keyed doors were held in place with caulk, with cracks that could be seen through, and were lockable with only a single flip lock on the handle - no deadbolt or security chain. Seemed like a decently safe area, though. Great location, interesting beach.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful, however the staff was very rude! My husband asked for a bucket of ice, and they called him ugly names in Spanish, the food was not good, and highly overpriced! It was so bad we checked out 2 nights early and paid for another room in Los Barilles! Live and learn I guess!! Won’t be going back!!

We loved the quiet ambiance and how we could so easily stroll down to the beach for kayaking or snorkeling. A lovely place to relax.

Gem on the Sea of Cortez. The drive to the hotel was a bit challenging, 4WD would be best. Once there you will never want to leave - quiet, spacious rooms with a patio looking out onto the Sea. There is nothing like taking a swim, snorkel or kayak followed by amazing fresh orange juice and perfectly prepared food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were AMAZING.

Such a beautiful place! We are looking for activities in our travels and this was its only limitation. We snorkeled and saw lots of fish; whales, Manta rays jumping, dolphins occasionally seen- so magical! More comfortable kayaks and help identifying good snorkeling sites would have been great. The most important bit of info was how to get there- Google map took us to the dirt road along the water- which in a rental car was scary. I had a panic attack, as I was uncertain whether it was safe to continue to proceed. You can access much better going north on Hwy and coming in from the north!!!
