Pros: nothing
Our stay at the hotel was very disappointing. The room had an odor of mold, and the bathroom was freezing with no heating. The price of our room is outrageous considering the given factors; I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I am very disappointed at our experience. Additionally, the owner of the lodge went into our personal things, and took out candles and candleholders that we had brought for Christmas.

We really appreciate your feedback however; you didn't complain until after staying in the room for three nights. If there were any issues we would have resolved them immediately. You chose to complain after I told you there was an issue with you lighting incense in the room which is not allowed. The smell of incense is very intense and some people don't like it. It is an extremely difficult smell to get out of a room and the process usually takes 3-6 months.

Pros: The room rate was very reasonable.(and we were able to book a single nite) Rooms were VERY CLEAN. Breakfast included was a nice surprise.
Location: Marbledge was only 10 miles from our wedding in Rupert and just outside of Manchester, which is loaded with shops, outlets and restaurants.
Attended a wedding/venue was only 10 mi away Had several interactions with Jadwiga/very pleasant & accommodating. There was a problem with the TV in one of our rooms. She and her husband replaced the tv with one that worked. Her husband then took 2 hours/fixed the problem and returned the tv to the room. .

Our room was very quaint with a great view of Fall New England colors. Breakfast was very good with home made crepes served in an European style homey breakfast room.

A great stay in a romantic, clean cottage

The owners were sincerely pleasant and accommodating. The cottage was very clean. We checked in after midnight and everything was set up and ready. We woke a bit late and expressed that I did not want the owner, Jay, to wait for us (breakfast is included), but she encouraged us to come a bit late. The breakfasts were just right --not too heavy-- so that we didn't feel lethargic as we began our adventures. The cottage and restaurant were eclectically decorated without being frumpy or dusty. Overall, a great place to stay for a visit in Vermont.

Pros: We liked most everything.
Cons: We had some rain one day of our stay but I don't think the weather was included.
Location: Great location and located near many sites of interest & shopping.
Proprietor was extremely nice and welcoming. We had one concern about the tv remote and it was fixed within 5 minutes. Our room was in our opinion nicer and more charming that the upscale resort a few miles south of here. The breakfast was top notch and again better than the one we had at the resort. Would recommend to anyone and we look forward to visiting again...

Pros: view, clean, family owned, good breakfast
Cons: Downside was it is near a main road so we did hear cars all night although we had the windows open for fresh air...so if you closed the windows it wou
Location: Hiking, local farms, skiing in the winter
We went to VT for a wedding...the hotel is family owned/operated. they were extremely helpful, gave us directions, let us check in an hour early so we could get ready for the wedding. The room itself was clean. had a cute fireplace as well. Bathroom included soap and towels although I would recommend packing a big towel...the bath towels themselves were on the small side. We had a gorgeous view of the mountains out the window.
