Diving

Posted Aug 15, 2017
If you are coming to caymans to dive then this is the place to stay. Great boats, professional friendly staff, great gear, and incredible dive locations just minutes away from dock. Highly recommend if you are on a diving trip.

Fantastic dive vacation

Posted Jul 7, 2017
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with ocean view. It is spacials and practical. The balcony is huge and there is also a well-equipped kitchenette. The Occean Frontier dive shop is fantastic.

Compass Point Dive Resort

Posted Jul 5, 2017
Super relaxed location in the middle of Grand CI east end. Ocean Frontiers / Compass Point Resort folks are really easygoing and helpful. One drawback ,there were lot of small bloodthirsty mosquitoes

Thanks for your comments and great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We are aware and dealing with the mosquito issue it is extremely unusual to be so many and is likely due to the heavy rain fall recently. However, we have taken steps and purchased a fogger. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Best wishes, Lesley

Great diving hotel but somewhat Spartan.

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: Diving convenience.
Cons: More breakfast options.
Location: East end has good diving but not a lot else. Got to drive to amenities, shopping, tourism sites.
Great diving in Cayman, they handle the gear for you. Pricey food. Minimal breakfast, large lunch, and dinner $$$. Buy food for cooking in Georgetown to save on meals. Room simple but functional and comfortable.

Great Dive Hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Excellent stay all around. Compass Point is a dive resort. Period. But it serves its purpose exceptionally well. Great, knowledgeable staff, great courses for those who want it and incredible access to world class dive sites from 3 boats (they are in the process of upgrading the fleet and we dove off a 3 week old boat with outstanding facilities and another new boat is in the way this year -- the current boats aren't bad by any stretch either). The on-site restaurant was very good. We all dove, but I have to say that if you have any non-divers with you, this may not be the place. There is little to do at the resort itself and most of the Island's activities are 40 minutes away by car, although there are some very good restaurants scattered about the East End. Rooms are comfortable and clean but basic -- again, functional for the purpose of relaxing and getting a good night's sleep with easy access to diving, but not luxurious or loaded with amenities.

Location, location, location!

Posted May 6, 2017
Pros: Quiet, modern, comfortable, friendly, not too big a complex. We even had a washer/dryer in room - a delightful convenience and luxury!
Cons: Can't think of a thing!
Location: \Two large hotel/time-shares, The Wyndham and Morritts which had restaurants and another dive operation are 5 minutes away.
This is a modern but not enormous condo complex with large balconies overlooking the sea and dive operation dock, on the quiet East End of Grand Cayman about 45 minutes North of the airport. The rooms are bright and attractively furnished . The kitchen appliances are modern, the counters all of one piece in white Corian (delightful to work in and clean) and the bathrooms are Corian-countered and modern as well. The location is perfectly positioned minutes away from restaurants and a market to buy food. There is a bar/restaurant on the water in the complex that serves breakfast as well as lunch and dinner-- folksy and intimate. Although two restaurants were within walking distance, a car is recommended. (Driving is English style -left side of the road!) Desk staff were so welcoming and friendly. Dive operation, Ocean Frontiers, is super-fantastic with staff that is expertly experienced and extremely safety-conscious. Having the dive operation on site is more than wonderful and the variety of locations to dive was abundant. Can't say enough about these folks on the staff of Ocean Frontiers and we have dived all over the world.

Fully equipped and clean apartment in calm area

Posted Apr 11, 2017 on Hotels
We were a group of 3 people and the three of us really enjoyed our stay in Compass Point Dive Resort. The apartment was amazing, fully equipped and very clean. The only thing I could say is that there was not double bed. There was 2 beds instead of a double on the bedroom and the mattress were not very comfortable. The staff are very nice and helpful. The area is very calm and far from the busy seven mile beach area. If you have a car I really would recommend this hotel.
