I would recommend this hotel for an overnight trip. It was close to our destination and wasn't too expensive. Not too many amenities but for a one night stay this place would be just fine.
Our hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Loved that the bike path to the beach was nearby. We will definitely return someday.
This was a great place to stay. They have a paddle board, paddle boats and row boats available to rent and its all for free. They have a camp fire site and its right by the water. The hotel staff was very accommodating and provided great recommendations.
We just planned one overnight in the Hyannis Star. This motel, centrally located in Hyannis, hearkens back to the 1950's in charm, service and comfort. We were driving late, and planned a late arrival. Staff called us to inquire about our arrival time. Being a small place, the office closes at 9:30 ...
Place is huge, they have a map to get you to your room. Room had hardwood floors. Comfortable bed, clean sheets/towels. Shampoo and hand soap dispensers in shower. Era 70's-80's excepting for a Best Buy flatscreen tv. Straight (not curved) shower curtain, old round incandescent bulbs in bath. sauna ...
There's a golden field in the back of this hotel. We loved the view. There are several restaurants nearby in walking distance.
My room had a door that was directly accessible from the parking lot, rather than being a hall door. I usually will not stay in a room like that, as it is not as safe as a hall room. But the room was cute, and the door heavily locked so I stayed. Basic and clean.
This is my second time at the motel. Very friendly and helpful staff. They stayed until I was done with the pool to lock up for the night (pool closes at 10pm). Clean pool and hot tub. Room itself is nothing special. Pro: hotel stuff, pool, hot tub Con: just an average hotel
