Great Breakfast!

Posted Aug 12, 2017
The breakfast buffet has a great selection and the hotel is walking distance to the old city. The staff is super friendly and the rooms are in good condition. The only problem we had was getting a taxi from the airport to the hotel because the hotel is located in an Arabic community and the Jewish taxi drivers refused to take us. Overall great stay and amazing vacation

room location

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Requested a room on a high floor away from elevators in a quiet part of the hotel. 3rd floor right below the restaurant and constant noise of chairs being moved did not fit the bill. Was told I was more 'sensitive' than others. East Jerusalem. Muslim section near Damascus gate. Streets are filthy.

You are safe everywhere. No one harrases you. Just stay alert as you will in your own country. Taxis...very expensive..everywher....you can make an agrement..or use the meter.. Tram..buses..everywhere..no problems. Whish you all a fantastic journey to the Holy Land. May GOD Bless us all!!

Cheap in price and quality; Close to Old Jerusalem

Posted May 26, 2017
The hotel has not been renovated forever. Really old. Booked it for $47 and did not care to indicate that 2 people will be staying. Next day while checking out, we were asked to pay additional $50 because my wife was also traveling with me. Funny thing is that we tried to extend the stay and looked up it on Expedia and it was not available when we selected 2 people. However, when we searched for 1 person, it was available. It seems it's their business model to allow 1 person booking and then doubling the rate at checkout if 2nd person stayed. Front desk personnel was great, especially Nirvana. It is in a walking distance (5-7 minutes) from Old Jerusalem.

Nice hotel close to the old city.

Pros: Location, breakfast, staff, restaurant.
Cons: Neighborhood
Location: Old City of Jerusalem
The staff was helpful especially Nirvana, the front desk clerk, who went over and above to serve us. The breakfast was fantastic. It's location near the Damascus Gate was very nice. The hotel's location is the only thing that is a detractor, yet we never felt threatened or afraid.

Nirvana what a lovely girl!!

Posted May 19, 2017
The hotel is not the best in comfort but you get what you pay for. It is very close to the most important place in Jerusalem and they have got an excellent receptionist that tries to help with all your demands. just the issue that I got and it's no hotels fault was that the sherut driver to take us to the airport was absolutely rude, shouting everyone no even in English and driving like crazy, was really scared this moment for everyone and he didn't care to get out to the car to help us with the luggage it was a complete mess, I recommended the hotel to no contact this guy for the tourists as he is not professional in his job.

First hotel in Jerusalem.

Great location close to the old city as well as the bars and restaurants just off Jaffa Road. All the staff were friendly particularly Nirvana at reception who was always helpful with a smile. Wide, well presented selection at breakfast with the option of a freshly prepared omelette.

OK service, specific location, terrible room.

Posted May 11, 2017 on Hotels
The reception and personnel was quite fine but the room was really terrible. A room without a window even the hotel description promised the balcony. In fact there was a strange small window located behind the bed, so looked like there is no window at all. Everything quite old and used. The sink in bathroom is broken. The shower not just leaking but heavily flows. The lamp on the table is just a bulb without lamp shade… The room view is completely different from the provided by the web’s photos. At the same time quite good location (if you are not afraid of Eastern part of Jerusalem, which can seem quite specific for European people). Breakfast not great but still good. I believe it’s not worth of the price we paid here.
