Easy access for Long Island

Posted Dec 17, 2017
A very welcome difference from the hotel chain experience, breakfast was adequate, but not my main focus, it’s not a restaurant. We loved the overall layout of the hallways and room.

1907 STYLE INN

Posted Dec 11, 2017
Pros: THE STAFF MADE AN EFFORT TO BE POLITE. IN A GOOD LOCATION ON ROUTE 25A AND 106. IT WAS A POSITIVE FEELING IN THE INN.
Cons: NONE, THAT I CAN THINK OF.
Location: TAKE A CRUISE ON OYSTER BAY. VISIT PLANTING FIELDS AND THEODORE ROOSEVELT ESTATE. GO HIKING IN MUTTONTOWN PRESERVE. EAT AT HAPPY GARDEN 79.
I HAD A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE STAYING AT THIS INN. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY. THE ROOM I HAD AT THE END OF THE THIRD WING WAS SERENE AND CLEAN. IT HAD A NICE SCENT TO THE ATMOSPHERE. THE CARPET LOOK LIKE IN WAS CLEAN WITH A POWDER THAT MADE IT FRESH TO ELIMINATE PATHOGENIC ORGANISM. THE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. THE MATTRESS FELT GOOD WHILE LAYING ON IT AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OF HIKING AROUND. I LIKE THE TUDOR STYLE EXTERIOR STYLE THAT ORIGINATED OUT THE 1907 YEAR OF OPENING. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT FOR ME THROUGH AARP. THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST ARRANGEMENT ROOM IS VERY APPEALING. I ENJOYED THE OATMEAL AND THE BAGELS. I HAD LIVED IN HICKSVILLE AND HAD ALWAYS PAST THE INN GOING TO OYSTER BAY. THE ROTHMANN'S RESTAURANT WAS ALWAYS A FAVORITE EATERY OF MY GRANDMOTHER. IT WAS COINCIDENTAL THAT I WOULD VISIT LONG ISLAND ON HER BIRTHDAY, DECEMBER 4TH. THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING AT THE INN AND RESTAURANT. FOR ME. THE EAST NORWICH INN IS A HIGH CLASS PLACE WITH GOOD SECURITY. IT IS NEAR PLANTING FIELDS, THE THEODORE ROOSEVELT ESTATE AND THE ATTRACTIONS OF OYSTER BAY FOR A CRUISE.

No outlets to charge phone except in bathroom. Rooms are old and dingy. Room smelled, one day they didn't replenish breakfast items and it was only 8am. Staff uninterested. Towels were nice tho

Convenient, quiet, pleasant historic inn.

Posted Nov 25, 2017
Pros: Near our family.
Cons: Bathroom has no towel racks or hooks for hanging bathrobes. A grab bar for assistance getting in and out of bathtub would be very helpful.
Location: Convenient to Bailey and Plantng Fields Arboretums, Sagamore Hill, Old Westbury.
Comfortable accommodation; all on one floor with easy accessible parking.

Hotel stay for a wedding

Posted Nov 17, 2017
Booked 5 rooms for a wedding. Hotel lobby and main floor was newly renovated, beautiful. Our hotel room was extremely outdated, carpet over 20(+) years old, bedding old dingy, bathroom severely outdated. Not the most comfortable or welcoming room. Room temperature was extremely warm. Breakfast was complimentary And food was great, space was very small with other guests- half of our group ended up standing.

Nice hotel close to where I was visiting

Posted Nov 15, 2017
Pros: best thing is location
Cons: The bathtub and shower were a little small. My son kept hitting the handicap bar
Location: It was close to several historic spots and LIU Post.
this was an older hotel, but it was clean and neat. The staff was friendly and courteous. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, but it was available. We chose it because of its proximity to our visit.

Getting Better

Posted Oct 28, 2017
Pros: It's about as good as it gets and a reasonable price for the local.
Cons: Give all the rooms a facelift.
Location: Great proximity to Oyster Bay and Huntington. The city is a short train ride away.
I've stayed here many times. In the past year management has made a considerable effort to give the corridors and breakfast area a facelift. It's been well done. Now it's time to get the rooms updated.

Very old hotel

Posted Oct 23, 2017
Bathroom was the size of a closet. Click didn't work. Could hear the people on the floor above me walking around like they weighed 500lbs. Very old hotel. One chair had a stain on it. The other chair was frayed. Don't know what continent the continental breakfast came from. Other than a waffle machine offers were minimal. Battery in an alarm beeped every 60 seconds due to a battery needing replacement. you get what you pay for.
