The hotel is apparently undergoing renovations, but the room had a terrible odor, the air conditioner was noisy, the continental breakfast was pathetic, and the bathroom tiny. The individual manning the front desk never smiled or said thank you and seemed surly.

Reasonably priced

The room itself was ok but there was an extremely musty smell. I believe it originated from the air conditioner but even with it off, the room smelled. Bathroom was a bit small. Continental breakfast was ok.

Outdated a/c smelled bathroom unsafe

Room and hotel was outdated but room was clean and it looks like they are starting to upgrade but have not done rooms yet. Even though room was clean the a/c had weird smell. Barhroom tiles were really slick and shower curtain did not keep water in shower so while husband was trying to clean up water he slipped and scraped his shoulder and cut his back on a ueven tile. Caused 6 inch gash and we spend hour in urgent care getting tetanus shot and getting gash cleaned out and treated.

Ok just for one night stay

Recommended by someone else because of close proximity to colleges. Room was very humid. small bathroom. Room is a bit tired and dated with furnishings. They're renovating now so we tried to take that into consideration but not sure if the rooms were already renovated or were going to be? Seems like renovation was in common areas. Our room was not. staff was not friendly at check in or check out. Never made any apology for inconvenience of renovation . In AM the main lobby was blocked off from room hallways & you had to exit the hotel & go around front of building to check out etc. This would have been ok if they had at least said " hey sorry for the inconvenience" but they didn't. I would at least say " hey you can see we are doing work so please be careful etc" , there were def lots of tripping hazards with floor differences at entrance etc. just seemed odd not to remind people of it, especially elderly etc. Breakfast was just ok. No cereal filled in in dispensers etc. we asked about this & it never got filled up. Just not somewhere I would stay again unless there was no where else since it was pricey. They're trying to be charming but they aren't pulling it off at this point.

This could be a very nice place. They are currently renovating the hotel. We were disappointed that they didnt mention that to us when we called to book a reservation. They should have reduced the rate due to this. Location is excellent and it could be a nice place once the renovations are completed. The breakfast could be better,

major construction going on. rooms out of date and shower had all mold. was not able to shower. telephone not working, could not receive calls.

A diamond sleeper.

Being fully restored to its original charm management was very friendly.Rooms were kept very clean and were comfortable..... continental breakfast was delicious muffins hot coffee orange juice apple juice Bagels yogurt the whole nine yards..... worth every penny for the stay and stress relief.

Under Renovation

The hotel is currently in the middle of a much needed renovation. The parts that are done look great; however there is much still to be done. The rooms while clean and comfortable are tired and in desperate need of a refresh as the wallpaper is peeling and the furniture's upholstery is torn. The breakfast consists of packaged rolls/muffins/Danish, cereal, some fresh whole fruit and Yogurt.

Not luxurious, but comfortable and functional.

The owners are doing a lot of work on this hotel and it shows; it should be great when it's done. We were there on two weekdays but were out during working hours, so the construction didn't bother us at all. The room was comfortable and functional and the staff friendly. Breakfast was cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, etc. Our only complaint was the music. There's soothing music that plays in the hallways all the time; the problem was that we could also hear it in our room and it made sleeping difficult. We didn't figure out until the morning that we left that there was a speaker right above the sliding-glass door that let out onto a patio. Had we known we would have asked to have that speaker turned down or off. All in all, a solid place to stay.
