4-stars for inexpensive hotel very near LV strip

Posted Sep 3, 2017
Pros: Location near to major strip hotels, Walgreen's, and no resort fee.
Cons: Beds could use a face lift, so could the main lobby.
Location: See my main posting. So much and so convenient to Royal Resort guests.
I'd like to explain why this receives 4-stars. It is currently the best deal next to the hotels near the strip. Not only was the price through Expedia the best, but they do NOT charge a resort fee. Almost all the other hotels and resorts charge this nightly fee and add it to your room, even if not part of the price on Expedia, so watch out for that, it can add up quickly. Resort fees can range from $10/night to $30/night. There's a web site that explains this better, so search "Las Vegas resort fee charges." Great front desk staff. Very helpful and friendly. The location is SUPERB, across from a Walgreen's, near a cluster of small shops and restaurants, and a 20-minute (or so) walk to the strip, including Wynn Las Vegas, Encore, Circus Circus, and other major casinos and venues. Thus, by saving so much money by staying at Royal Resort, you have more spending money for shows, souvenirs, and restaurants. Why waste money on a fancy hotel room you probably will spend so little time in? What happens in Vegas only stays in Vegas, if you don't come home to an outrageous credit card bill. Spend wisely in Vegas, it has become very expensive to be a tourist.

Affordable hotel close to strip

Posted Aug 27, 2017
The Royal Resort is a great place to stay if you're looking for an affordable hotel close to the strip. I definitely wouldn't say its luxurious like many of the other hotels on the strip, but that's also why its much more affordable. That being said, the amenities are great; there is a pool, hot tub and small gym that typically aren't too busy. The rooms are a good size and are pretty clean, but are outdated (again something I don't really mind). There are also several stores and restaurants located around the hotel which we found extremely convenient. Overall I always enjoy my stay at the Royal Resort and will be returning in the future.

I won't stay here again.

Pros: close to the strip.
Cons: The hotel room needs to be remodel.
The hotel is close to strip. I booked a non-smoking hotel, but the room still smell bad from smoking. The hotel doesn't have free wifi.
