Business Trip

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: Friendly Staff
Cons: Update Pool, Gym and Bathrooms.
I Enjoyed my stay on a business trip for three nights and four days..in the non-smoking and casino-free hotel! Bed was comfortable and room was nice and large. I enjoyed the gym-had a decent amount of equipment but needs more weights. I also enjoyed the pool in the afternoon, too. The on-site Starbucks is a definite plus! Additionally my walk to the strip was about 5 mins. so its very close to the middle of everything! I will be back- thank you!

Great location and comfortable accommodations

Great location to walk to many of the great casinos on the Strip or to the tram stop at Bally's. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and professional.

Just ok hotel, would need to refresh rooms. We stayed only for one night as transit hotel, was ok for the purpose.

Just off strip but under renovation

Posted Oct 10, 2017
Pros: Location and free parking
Cons: No value for the resort fee when there is no casino a quite small pool area and only a temporary restaurant Also onsite washing facilities needed.
This hotel is one block back from main strip in Flamingo Road so very central ( but blocks are huge ) A little bit quieter but currently under renovation so limited restaurant facilities and no casino which didnt bother us at all. We did not hear any noise from works . Rooms a little bit dated - not sure if these too are being done. The pool area is not huge - we were only there in late afternoon and mainly young people drinking and quite loud - not quite the 'relaxing in sun' thing we were hoping for. Unfortunately think this is typical of Vegas hotels as is the smoking and party behavior.

OK hotel not too far from Las Vegas Strip

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Cons: The Hotel bathroom needs upgrading! Bathtub old, shower head loose in wall Grab rail has loose fittings needs new tiles.
One has to ask for some amenities Room needs revamp not only superficial revamp

Comfortable and peaceful

Posted Oct 8, 2017
Felt like an incredibly luxurious, modern place. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. Perfect location, just a block to the strip and the fountain show. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. I liked that there was no casino...made for a much calmer, more inviting atmosphere for sleep.

A great choice

Posted Oct 6, 2017
Pros: Location, cleanliness, great staff
Cons: A decent restaurant, upgraded pool area.
Location: Two blocks off the strip. Perfect location....
We didn't know the Westin was so close to the strip. It was nice to be off the strip and away from the chaos. The location allows easy access to and from the hotel by taxi. The check in was fast which typically isn't the case with the giant casino hotels. The front desk staff actually greeted us and was really helpful. We had a door issue where it wasn't locking. We asked a maid in the hall who called down. I thought we would be waiting for an hour for maintenance to show up. They were there and the door fixed within 5 minutes. This allowed us to get on with our day. They have closed the Casino and I believe they are working on creating a new restaurant which this hotel is lacking. The pool area was nice, you could get a lounger and it wasn't lucite heels, hair extensions and pretentious fake VIP areas like other vegas hotel pools. It was fun and relaxing and the people were real. They could work on the pool service though. Overall, we would stay here again if we go back to Vegas.

Very quite place

Posted Oct 3, 2017
Was looking for a place that we would be able to get aways from the noise of the strip and the location was perfect for that. Its not too far off the strip si that made the walk to and from a breeze. Hotel also doesnt have a casino so that made it even better because I didnt want to gamble all day and I hate cigarettes and the smoke. After walking in a few of the other hotels on the strip and smelling all that smoke im glad I chose to stay here. Lobby is under construction at the moment but that didnt bother me. Just means I have something new to look forward to seeing the next time I stay here. Thanks for a wonderful stay in the great city of vegas.

Great Place to Stay Near the Strip

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: The staff was amazingly polite and helpful. The view from the room was great.
Cons: Expedia & Westin need to improve hand-off of details. Expedia receipt said free breakfast and parking; Westin records didn't. I had to ask for both.
The Westin is a short walk from the strip - close enough to get there quickly, but far enough away that you're out of the all night crowds. Breakfast buffet was good.
