Very nice property. Comfortable simple room that was clean and quiet. Only comment is that there is no shower curtain so the whole bathroom gets soaked with water when using the shower.

Fantastic hotel with delicious breakfast!!
Lovely beachfront hotel with stunning views. Pool was inviting and there were plenty of sun beds. Breakfast was incredible, so much choice and all well laid out - the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. The evening meal was superb quality and delicious. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Secure onsite parking.

The decor in this hotel is rather tired and after a 15 minute walk back from facilities in Argeles we were looking forward to a drink in the hotel bar. It was 10.02pm and we were told that the bar was shut. There were several other guests in the same situation. On a plus side the pool was very good and it is well located for the beach.

Jaded but could be a gem.
It was ok .......the area now is closing down after the season so a lot 80% of shops are closed, we did not stay in the main hotel but he " annex " which is directly opposite. It is ok, a bit tired and you get a feeling of not belonging or shoved to one side but staff are good , room is clean and fairly quiet.

A comfortable, well presented hotel.
Hotel le Lido is a good looking hotel, the staff we spoke to couldn't be more helpful. One young lady went out of her way on two occasions to help and her English was very good; much better than our French! We had a room across the road from the main hotel. Very clean and a reasonable standard of comfort. The air-con worked well, the shower was good, the bed was fairly comfortable. This hotel has a very good restaurant in the main building, we ate their one evening and were not disappointed. The breakfast offered is extra, 13 e but there was plenty on offer. All in all was a good experience and deserves its 3 stars.

Great alfresco poolside breakfast, easy beach access, walking distance to the village. Disappointed, however, that the hotel charges its guests an extra 20 Euros to sit on a chaise-longue on a small square of beach they have roped off. I can understand charging non-guests, but hitting guests for another 20 Euros? Excessive, I think.

This is 2 star motel in an amazing location. The hotel is in need to be updated, specially the carpets and the linens. The bathrooms are fully renovated. Keep in mind that this hotel is the best in the area. I would definitely go back.

Clean & Quiet!
I would definitely go back to this area/hotel. In September, it's mostly the retired generation - and I would say 80% of the stores and restaurants are closed for the season, but we were still able to walk to a few. The only downside to this hotel (for us) was the quality of the wifi ... we had to go out into the hallway to pick it up and then it was very weak in our room.

Good location and staff hotel requires upgrade
We stayed here for four nights in July, split between two rooms both on 1st floor. The first was adequate-on the left hand side, the second was at the top of the stairs on the right which had a shocking shower-you practically had to step in the toilet in order to get into the shower cubicle. That being said, the service here was amazing, I cannot remember the barmans name but he was excellent and mentioned he had been working summers here-and always helped me experiment with cocktails. Being located on the beach, I was dissapointed when we were asked for payment on the hotels area on the beach, despite being guests-this would be good to include? All in all I would return perfect location and staff really went above and beyond- hotel condition could do with some tlc.

Please don't believe your own publicity.....
arrived 1.15 hrs after checkin. Room not ready. No real apologies but told to wait in garden at swimming pool. Really? No chairs to sit down on nr pool or in garden. No offer of another chair. No offer of towels in case we wanted to cool off ( we had been driving for 7 hrs and it was a hot day) Told we could walk in garden whilst they get room ready. No explanation as to why it wasn't ready. Asked for a drink. We were hot and thirsty. Drinks got for us with bad grace and dumped on bar. Then bar staff came into garden and told us our drinks were in the bar. Okay, so why couldn't you just bring the drinks to us rather than just walk and tell us they were there. If you had to walk to tell us you could have brought the drinks. Older woman laying up tables in garden was most unfriendly and ignored us. Receptionist just looked embarrassed after I said we were hot and tired and the least they could do was offer us a drink. Finally got room. No Jacuzzi bath but it was a nice room. thanks to housekeeping, even if they were slow. rest of the staff, including manager who I asked to call me, might need to go on a Welcome Course BTW also no English channels although the information pack says there are 3

Pensioner's retreat on lovely beach
A little dated hotel. Very French. No fridge in the rooms, so I asked the reception lady for ice. I got three ice cubes in a glass. When my wife went to see her a little later for some more, the receptionist looked at her as if someone had eaten her lunch. More ice? Did you bring the glass? Didn't really feel like having a swim in the evening as all the other guests looked like Hercule Poirot as they sat in the restaurant overlooking the pool, but the private beach club with free sun beds and parasols on the white sandy beach was fabulous. Short walk to bakery, butchers and other French necessities.

Hote le Lido
Unfortunately my stay at the Lido was spoilt by a poor attempt at charging me for a drink I never had. Nor was the promised discount for dinner (trying to entice you to the restaurant) forthcoming. Very shortsighted as this precludes a return visit. Reception, to be fair, was quick to return the money.

Loud and poor rooms but everything else is great!
The good: - hotel conveniently located by the beach - free parking - decent view of the beach from the balcony - very good on-site restaurant - friendly service The bad: - loud and extremely poorly insulated - 2 twin beds don't make a double bed - outdated bathrooms or at least not worthy of a 3 stars hotel Overall too pricey for the room you get but everything else is good.

Sadly disappointing
Late September stay and the hotel was clearly winding down - the private beach area had been removed and we were rudely told we were not able to have a snack on the patio, we had to eat a meal in the restaurant. There was mould in the bathroom and overall the hotel needs a bit of a revamp. Of all the front of house staff we encountered, only one was brilliant. the rest were pretty miserable.

A 3* hotel who's staff don't seem to have aspirations to take it to the next level. It has so much potential, but really lacking mainly in customer service. You almost feel like you are putting the staff out which is more prevalent in the bar area and the management.

Great beach location
A nice hotel very close to the beach. We chose it because it had safe parking. Our room was large, quiet and well appointed with a small terrace. However being in an annexe on the ground floor, facing away from the sea, we had no view. Our bed was comfortable. The bathroom needed a little attention with a nice, large shower, but no grab rail, a pet hate of mine. We didn't eat at the hotel as it was buffet night. There were some eateries close to the hotel but the main restaurant area was in the harbour area which was a long walk away. The staff were very friendly. We didn't have breakfast wanting to get away, but the dining area looked very pleasant. Over all a nice stay.

Beach front
A spacious well appointed room in an annexe, away from the main hotel. Nice balcony, but no view from it. Clean and well appointed with a comfortable bed. Some aspects of the bathroom need updating, let down by a cheap plastic toilet seat. My pet hate is no grab rail in showers, as here. A potentially dangerous situation for older people. Achievable at little cost. What we saw of the main hotel was nice, but we declined the buffet style dinner. A long way from the main port and it's more sophisticated restaurants, but closer to a few eateries. Friendly staff and good, safe parking. Not cheap, but good value.

Good hotel in a surprisingly nice resort city
Lido is a nice hotel in very good location right on the promenade of Plage Argeles. The rooms are scattered among several buildings on two sides of the street. Our room was clean, pleasant but not excellent. The hotel boast a relatively small pool but the sea is only 50 m away. The hotel's restaurant is one of the best in the town but again lacked certain charm. Probably the best feature about Lido is the town of Argeles-sur-mer itself. We did not know anything about it before we accidentally booked the hotel and consider it one of the best European resorts we have been. Not flashy or high-end but rather middle-class and democratic, but it has something in the air that made us like it.

Good location
A good location on the beach with a 10 minute walk along the promenade into the hustle and bustle of the main resort. The hotel facilities are good, however the room was quite small (and could do with some modernisation) and the air conditioning was fairly poor, which was not ideal with a young baby. The food looked great, although we generally walked into town to get the baby to sleep so missed out a little (our fault not theirs)

Beachfront location
My new husband and I really loved the beachfront location. It was so nice to access the beach so easily. The prices for the beds and umbrellas near the water were excessive in my opinion, but the hotel offered nice beach towels we used to lay in the sand. The staff was so kind to us which isn't always the case with Anglo-phones in France. We traveled from the Perpignan train station to the hotel, which was a very expensive cab fare. We took the 1EURO bus back but it was a 20 minute walk to the bus stop, plus a 1 hour trip to the train station. Unless you take a car, the location isn't central to public transportation. The poolside restaurant offered a traditional French continental breakfast, and delicious 2 or 3 course meals for lunch and dinner. One more note on location, we visited slightly after holiday season, and most of the the town was closed (shops, restaurants, markets) so we felt a little trapped at the hotel. The demographic of the hotel guests was 55+ retirees which we loved, but would definitely turnoff younger people.

Don't try and check out before 7.30am
Nice enough room, good location and close enough to the centre to wander down without being disturbed all night by the music. Lovely food in the restaurant and most of the staff were really nice and helpful, the only thing letting le Lido down was the aggressive man who got very annoyed with me for wanting to check out at 7am due to the long onward drive, had I spoken fluent French this may not have been so bad but did slightly tarnish what was otherwise a nice stay

Excellent experience - Highly recommended
This is a 3 Star hotel that has 4 Star appeal. We have traveled extensively and consider Hotel du Lido a real find. The staff was first rate, very friendly, helpful and assisted we non-French speaking travelers. We had an accident with our bicycles and they called on our behalf to assist us in getting the work done and the bikes returned. The food was excellent, the wine selections were local and superb (as you would expect from this region of France). The hotel is right on the beach and easy travel to Collioure and other points of interest. The town of Argeles sur Mer is very bicycle friendly (bikes for rent) and easy to get around. Great find!
