They saved our milk!

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Friendly front desk staff, food available next door in the casino 24 hours
Location: We were there for Cardinals baseball, and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the game
This was our second stay in 2017, so we were already familiar with the hotel. However, during this stay, we discovered at 10:30 the first night of our stay that our refrigerator didn't work, and we had bought milk. After speaking with the front desk, a maintenance man came to our room within 15 minutes. Our fridge wasn't fixable, so he brought a brand new one to our room and saved our milk! They also have free coffee available 24 hours in the lobby, and vending machines with expanded food offerings. The casino next door has a restaurant with excellent burgers and house-made potato chips. There's also a buffet restaurant which opens for breakfast that you order off a menu, and a 24 hour deli. The hotel's free wifi worked every time we logged on. Also, the front desk staff are friendly, competent, and answer your questions sometimes before you even ask. We have had no negative experiences whatsoever in our two 2017 stays, so book with confidence.

Nice Alternative to Downtown St. Louis

Posted Sep 24, 2017
We stayed here for 1 night, before a game the next day. This place was a good $100 cheaper than all the decent downtown hotels in St. Louis, plus free parking. Safe hotel, decent casino next door. Would've gave 5 starts for a few more amenities, like free breakfast or complimentary water. But I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel, but hard to find. Needed GPS to find.

Pros: Close to the St Louis Arch, but not close enough to walk to.
The casino and hotel are in different buildings, 2 minute walk.

Not the worst, not the best.

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: The view of the Arch and downtown St. Louis was pleasing. The shower pressure was surprisingly good. The water maintained the heat as well.
Cons: The rooms could use a thorough cleaning and could be cleaned to a higher standard on a daily basis.
Location: The hotel is located in a sketchy area and the casino across the way was robbed and a guard was shot on our second night.
I reserved a room for 2 nights, thinking I was going to the U2 show in STL. The show would end up being cancelled due to riots in the streets, but my husband and I stayed the two nights before driving home. Upon arrival to our room, I noticed a drop of blood on the white bedspread. Then, while checking for bedbugs, I noticed a used paper towel where the mattresses met. I didn't feel comfortable with my head being on the pillows as they didn't seem clean, but I did end up sleeping on them due to exhaustion. The toilet would make noises every few minutes, which was annoying. The room seemed overall dirty. The coffee maker was filthy. Outlets were placed in inconvenient places. I couldn't charge my phone while on the bed. The floors were stained. The chair in the room was covered in dust/filth. Overall, it seemed like an old hotel that needs some TLC.

check in was a night mare

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: I like the proximity to the tram to get downtown St Louis.
Cons: Knowledgeable people to assist with check-in and better customer service
Made reservations for 4 rooms - 2 double queen and 2 king with each guest name assigned a room. When we arrived they said they only had 1 king room for our reservation. They did have the 4 rooms at that time. When 2 of the people arrived they said there was only one room and then they had to call me as I had already left the hotel. They kept asking me what room I would like the last couple in. I told them they had the last room with 2 double queens. Thought it was settled then received a call saying they had placed them into my room. I had to look up reservations on my phone (from 6 months ago) and send them via text so they could actually get a room. When checking out no thank you or how was your stay. Customer service was horrible. Two of the 4 rooms had full needle boxes and one of these had a used needle just laying on the top of the box. I am glad we were all adults and no kid found this.

Casino Queen

I liked the location but the cleanliness is substandard. As soon as we got to our room, we found left over food in the refrigerator most liked from the person that stayed before. There was also a used wash cloth left in the shower. We only stayed for one night.
