Flash Back to the 70's

Posted Dec 29, 2017
Keep an open mind, and you'll enjoy your stay. The hotel has not been renovated, the decor is straight out of the 70's. You are paying for the activities and meals, not your accommodations. We stayed in the Garden of Eden Apple which has your own private pool, dry sauna and heart shaped jacuzzi. Not the cleanings of rooms. The pool room had mold up near the air vents and something yellowish on the mirrored wall. The bathroom still has carpet on the floor and the shower takes forever to get hot water. The bed was not very comfortable at all. They were not running the snowmobiles nor the snow tubes as their was not enough snow yet (they were making it for the weekend) so that was disappointing. The nightly entertainment was good and the game room was fun. Just wish they had more activities for the winter months. I'll return again, but next time I'll stay at Cove Haven in the summer months. There is more to do there but it's an hour drive from Pocono Palace. The food was decent and you get a lot of it but you will pay for all of your alcoholic drinks. Not a typical "all inclusive" resort.

Bad Experience

Posted Dec 25, 2017
It was infested with ants in the pool area went to the front desk ask for hotel manager were told someone would contact us which nobody never did. The room is out dated and some mirrors need to be replaced and cleaned for the money I spent I expected better. I will never come back I felt like I got ripped off.

Overpriced

Posted Dec 22, 2017
For the money spent per night it’s just not worth the price, the room is nice (Roman Tower) but that’s about it, food is medium quality, entertainment during the week is basically non existent, and if it’s not warm outside or no snow in ground you basically stuck in your super expensive room.

We're very disappointed to read you felt the overall experience didn't live up to the value of what you spent, whether it was the food or the entertainment. We actually offer several activities in the main building guests can enjoy at their leisure, as well as activities lead by our Chief Excitement Officers. Thank you for your feedback.

Wonderful concept needs updating

Posted Dec 22, 2017
The plunge pool rooms are the best, however these rooms need a little update. My pool area had an Ant problem and the housekeeper never put the towels back or refilled the cups. The place was virtually empty so activities weren’t fun. The karaoke Dj needs a little updating too. Wasn’t the best time here. Was basically offered nothing to return never got the champagne I prepaid for and asked about twice. Not sure I’ll be back.

Maybe in another era...

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: The lake and the game room was actually the best part. My beau and I took full advantage of the activities available to us on the property.
Cons: Décor and food! We had breakfast our first morning there and it was extremely disappointing and certainly not worth the price.
Location: The town is a desert town, tons of shut down businesses and the closest mall- if you can call it that, is over 30 mins away. And that's about it.
Although relatively local for us, (3.5 hrs) it felt like we were in a time warp. The décor was beyond outdated and campy. None of the leaves had been raked, my beau used his feet to clear a path to our room door! And as for the heart shaped Jacuzzi in the room- brown water came out of the faucet! If the breakfast we were served is any indication, do NOT get the meal plan. Totally NOT worth it. Instead, visit the 'Three Amigos' Mexican restaurant directly across the street, very good and authentic Latin food. My beau and I mad the best of our time there, and had the most fun in the game room where we played basketball, ping pong, mini gulf, and shot pool. But we won't be going back nor recommending it to others.

While we're glad to read you enjoyed the lake and game room, we're disappointed you were not satisfied with the decor and the food. We actually have photos on our site that allow you to preview what you can expect with our resort and better determine if the style of our resort is or isn't for you.
