Cutest little spot in BrightonPosted Jul 10, 2015
For a person that appreciates unique design, this hotel was a dream. I loved every single detail about it. The room was gorgeous, the bathroom was so clean, and the hotel has a nice restaurant and cute cocktail bar in the lobby. It couldn't have been nicer. My only complaint is the current construction blocking the entire view of the ocean. Definitely not something in their control...but maybe I wouldn't have paid more for a "sea view" had I known I wouldn't have had one upon arrival. Definitely something that should be disclosed.

Good, quirky place to stay.Posted Jun 17, 2015 on Hotels
Brilliantly located, right on the front and with a near by NCP car park (£16 per day). Friendly staff, clean and interesting room and attached cafe and cocktail bar. No problems with noise or disturbences.

Arty, cool weekend residencePosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The overall ambience, character of the building, artworks, decor etc. were all wonderful. The cocktails and breakfast were both really excellent.
Cons: The room was a little tired and the double bed was quite small. It was adequate, but it didn't feel particularly luxurious in any way.
Our weekend stay was really enjoyable. We loved the location and the building; its decor and all the wonderful design details were fab. Cocktails at the bar before an evening out were great and our breakfast the following morning served in the communal room was absolutely spot on. Great coffee and a perfect Sunday morning soundtrack playing in the background. Our room was fine, but not particularly special inside. It did have a fantastic view across Regency Square and out to sea which we enjoyed from the balcony. A small and not very comfy bed let down the overall experience, but it wouldn't stop me coming back or recommending. A very cool place to stay with bags of charm and individual character, plus a laid back, friendly and helpful team of staff. Thank you!

Different but nice.Posted Apr 18, 2015 on Hotels
This is quite a different hotel from anything I have stayed in before and some people may not like it. But I really did and would stay there again. The hotel is an old building and therefore a bit creeky, but the room was very comfortable. I especially liked the bath in the room! The only down sides were there was only one mirror in the room located in the ensuite, but when I mentioned this on checkout I was told that a full length mirror would be added(this was followed up by email when I got home). The other thing is the carpet, this was extremely rough being made of a jute material and hurt my bare feet, next time I shall take slippers. I wasn't too keen on drinking my tea out of a tin mug, but this was the style of the hotel and the bars downstairs were quite noisy which isn't really my thing so I stayed away. Incidentally, none of the noise could be heard in my room. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

So much is great about this hotelPosted Feb 26, 2015 on Hotels
A small room - exactly as described - perfectly suitable for my 2 night stay. Everything in the room was great. If you are here for longer, you may miss the wardrobe. There were hooks to put hangers on, which was fine for my short stay and limited wardrobe. The breakfast was fab and the cocktail bar even better! Shame to have missed their new restaurant opening soon - sounds like an excellent addition to a great little hotel

Fab little gemPosted Feb 13, 2015
Stayed in a tiny room, which I would recommend just to experience how much they can so with such a small space!! Whole hotel had a lovely quirky feel and the staff were all really friendly. Would def recommend as a great base for a night or two in Brighton.

A lovely hotel with characterPosted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Loved the atmosphere in the hotel and the enthusiastic staff members. Also, the breakfast was super tasty!
Cons: The breakfast room was a bit cold.
Location: Really central, close to both the train station and the beach.
We loved our stay at Artist Residence. It's a small hotel close to the beach and train station. There are only about 30 rooms, but each room has a special character created by the artist's work. Our room had cute paintings on two of the walls, and little quirky furniture details. Even though it was described as 'tiny', there was more than enough room for us and our luggage. The common areas were very pleasant and cosy. There is a bar, a ping pong room and a common room with armchairs and sofas.
