Ive stayed here five times absolutely love this hotel. Comfortable ,quiet, great views from my room. Staff excellent. Its the only place i would stay in Eastbourne. Cosy lounges to relax and read. Breakfast outstanding. Highly recommend.

My assessment would have been higher but for one thing. My wife and I thoroughly dislike UHT milk and it is our customer to ask for a small jug of real milk for our tea and coffee.This has always been willingly provided in a wide variety of establishments from four star hotels to village pubs. I was therefore staggered, on checkout, to be ask for £1 to pay for the tiny jug of milk we had asked for the previous evening. To add insult to injury the milk had gone off overnight was useless for our tea. Such meanness beggars belief!

The hotel was very clean and well-kept, the staff were fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming and super quick to provide any services. I had to upgrade from a single to a twin room before arrival and the staff got it sorted straight away, in one phone call. After we got there, I asked for an iron and an ironing board and they were straight up to my room! However, the ironing board was old and cheap and didn't hold the iron, so our hot iron actually fell off it when I put it down. Not great. The bathroom door lock was also broken, and the door itself was off its hinges and swung loose whenever we tried to close it. It would shut, eventually, but not lock. When I showered in the morning (about 7am), the hot water was very patchy, and the water kept going cold and then hot. My dad showered after me and had a better experience. The breakfast was very good, better than most hotel breakfasts I've had; the area the hotel is in is beautiful, and we enjoyed a few walks up and down the beachfront. Solid hotel, great staff, but could clearly do with some refurbishments.

I chose the hotel as it was dog friendly and its closeness to the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful and on arrival, I asked for a table for dinner, which was booked, they provided a box of treats for our dog and I paid a small fee for having a dog in the hotel. The room was spacious and clean but we were hoping for a sea view. I think dog friendly family rooms are at the back of the hotel. When we came down for dinner, we were then told that it did not allow dogs and we could eat in the bar, although only at the front of the bar, which was already crowded at this point. The menu was different and as I had wanted something different from a burger and chips as it was my birthday. We decided not to eat there. I found a lovely local Italian restaurant who let me bring my dog and we ate there instead. I was upset because at the time of booking, I wasn't advised that no dogs were allowed and I would need to sit on the edge of the bar area. The staff were friendly and helpful and whilst a hotel that excepts dogs, it did not provide guests with the same options or access to facilities as those without a dog. I would stay again but I may not bring my dog as I felt we got slightly less than guests who didn't have a dog, despite paying extra for having him.

The hotel provides excellent accommodations and the staff is very courteous and helpful. A full English breakfast is served each morning with exceptional service. Coffee and tea are provided in pots and are of the highest quality.

Excellent location near the sea front. Nice generously sized family room, very clean and comfortable beds. Only draw back was that being a family room with young children needing to go to sleep relatively early there was a lot of noise from the evening entertainment in the dining rooms directly below from the live singer, music and what sounded like tables being moved around post-event but not sure what solution would be other than provision of earplugs for light sleepers. Despite this minor issue we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I have stayed here many times over the years as I periodically visit our Eastbourne office. I appreciate the upgrades that have been put in place. The staff are lovely. And I wish I didn't have to share this, but after 15 minutes of trying the tub basin, separate shower, and sink, I could not raise any hot water. Yes, I ran water for expended periods at all points on the dials. Even warm water for that matter. Finally settled for a brisk rinse. Also, the mattress was unusually soft and did not support my back. In short, great team, sparkling property adn super location. It's only disappointing that these two things occurred.

Lovely overnight stay.
The staff were lovely as were the lounge and the restaurant. We had a lovely big room with amazing sea views. On the whole the room was clean, couple of small things that could have been human error. We had lovely cocktails before dinner. We had a delicious meal and the breakfast was great. Lots of choice, and all well cooked.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was far too warm and the heating didn’t appear to be on. We opened the window but then we had the whirring sound from a fan or generator most of the night. No view from our window either. No bedside table. On the Saturday parking was an issue and were parked quite a way away. I had breakfast on the second morning and that was great. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. But too warm and too noisy.

Great trip for dog and I. The suite was great. Very tastefully decorated and appointed. Only problem was the building is very stuffy in hot weather and with no air con the dog went and hid under the bed and didn't come out when called. Thought he had died or been stolen by the maids. Other than that great time.

Restaurant was fully booked as they had taken a coach booking. Afternoon tea wasn't available due to a wedding. So seemingly some lack of staff or organisation. Staff we did meet were fine though.

Delightful one-night stay
My partner and I stayed for one night in one of the Executive Rooms. The view was amazing, and the room was delightful. We also loved the front room with the lush sofas and chairs - a lovely spot to grab a drink. And the South African woman who greeted us at breakfast was magnificent - such a lovely person. Will definitely visit again if we come back to Eastbourne.

As a singleton I felt very comfortable and relaxed in this hotel. It was also very nice to have a single room and a good view from the window. The hotel was also very well situated for access to lovely walks along the Prom and other suitable attractions such as the Towner Art Gallery, Bandstand and Theatres. Very poor room in a very nice hotel
Given a twin room down a warren of corridors, that looked straight out of a convent in the 1940s. Complained, and given a slightly better room overlooking sheds? Rooms nothing like those advertised. However, everything else about the hotel was excellent. What a shame my initial opinion of the hotel was so poor. Are Hotels.com given the poorest rooms? Corridors need updating.

Great Service Okay Room
We had an issue with the double bed in our family room which meant we had to relocate but the matter was dealt with promptly and professionally. Overall the service was great and the room was adequate for our needs.
