Victorian splendour, one of nicest in Brighton

A lovely hotel with large rooms, marble clad staircases etc. However, the hotel was managed far better before Hilton took it over. The welcome was unwelcoming, I arrived 10 minutes before check in time and was told with no friendly smile or apology to come back in an hour and even then the room might not be ready. I had left my bags in the bag room and on check in was told they would be taken to my room. Two hours later I had to fetch them myself.
The toilet took multiple pumps and good luck to get it to flush, I complained and was told it would be repaired, 44 hours later I left the hotel with the toilet still unrepaired. I suspect room 415 will still have the same problem now.
This was a premium room in a top hotel, come on Hilton I deserve better.
