Hotel Close to the Beach

Pros: Near the beach. Good breakfast. Clean and tidy.
Cons: Put a staff to meet and greet guests who would be coming before 4 pm and let them inside the property, sit down and wait until it is time for check-in
Location: Near the beach. A walk in the morning/evening would be lovely. Running is also ideal along the beach.
After a tiring train trip from London where we had been re-directed to another train station, a hectic train ride, we arrived at Eastbourne Reymar B&B at about 3.15 pm. We were waiting outside the front door of the hotel under the heat of the sun but nobody could let us in in the property. Some guests arrived with their keys and said that check in would be at 4 pm. So we waited standing in front of the hotel. I decided to go to the beach with my daughter while my husband waited. The beach was about 40 metres away. The sight of the beach and the buildings were lovely. At the check-in, it took about 30 minutes waiting in front of the door before somebody let my husband in in the property and checked us in. Lucky it was not raining. This experience was really bad.

Hi Maria Thank you for taking the time to review, sorry about your check in experience but Check in is between 4 and 7pm, which is clearly stated on the description for the guest house on expedia, it is also on your email confirmation and on the signage at the front of the property with the telephone number to contact us on for help outside of check in times. If you required an earlier check in this could have been arranged directly with us and which we are very happy to do, which would have been pointed out to you on the confirmation email . On reading this review you were actually checked in at 3.45 which is still 15 minutes before check in time starts. Kind Regards Eastbourne Reymar

Fab B and B so close to the beach and town , breakfast was lovely every morning and the owners where lovely

Great location and wonderful caring host; Nick. Had excellent breakfast! Room had a view but was very small. Sadly, had Two cold showers!!

Enjoyable weekend made even better by the pleasant new owners who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was a problem to them and we were provided with plenty of local information. Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Family Hotel

Nick and Ester were very welcoming and took the time to engaged in conversation with all of us. A freshly cooked breakfast was available every morning and there was also a large selection of help yourself cereals, toast, pastries and hot drinks. The tv lounge had games and books, good for rainy days if you have any. The hotel is a three minute walk to the beach and promenade that provides a large number of places and things to do, especially for families, all within walking distance and on the flat.
