Beautiful bed and breakfast in gorgeous location

Posted Mar 7, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Hospitality of owners, beautiful area, beautiful house, nature, relaxed atmosphere,
Cons: Hotter water in a shower, bread to go with your breakfast, house needs few minor repairs, better access road.
Location: Bird sanctuary, hiking and biking trails, Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, distillery, brewery, winery, water sports, great restaurants, little towns.
My girlfriend and I stayed in Black Walnut Point Inn for long weekend for her birthday in early March. It was out of season, so probably with flowers and green trees of later spring, it would be even more beautiful, but we really enjoyed peace and quite of bird sanctuary, less crowds in nearby St. Michaels, Oxford and Easton. The house is beautiful, room was very pretty, clean and comfortable; Bob and Tracy (owners) very hospitable and fun to be around. It was magical weekend, Thank you!

Overall it was a good stay. Location was great and the hosts were accomodating. Some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but the main breakfast entrees were very tasty. Great place if you want to get off the beaten path to relax.

Wedding debris should have been cleaned up.

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: The physical location.
Cons: Clean up from previous guests. Pool use if something could be done about biting flies.
Location: Boat excursions, fishing, wildlife viewing.
Inn hosted a wedding on Sat. before our Sun. arrival. We would not have expected the rental equipment to have been removed but could not understand why wedding debris (partially used soda bottles, beverage containers, etc.) had not been cleaned up by our Tues. checkout. The Inn sits on a beautiful spot where the Choptank River meets the Bay. We were impressed with the spot's natural beauty but not with the "view" of the wedding detritus. The absence of cleanup struck us as trifling and inconsiderate of Inn guests. At $247.50 a night, we expected better. In a positive vein, Dawn and Jamie, Inn staff who were running things in the innkeepers' absence, were hospitable and a pleasure to be around.

If you want to get away from noise - this is the place! Skip St Micheal's and head to Tilghman Island and this B&B. Bob and Tracy are wonderful hosts...

Nice get away location

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Cons: Wifi struggled most of time and we needed access for home communications....perhaps an offer to give guests acess to a PC for e mail would be an optio
Wished we had visited in warmer part of year, April at tilghman island is cold. Breakfast was nice.

It was as advertised, a quaint, remote getaway.
