OK Hotel

The staff was great the hotel though is remodeling so not the experience I was expecting. My room smelled musty and that surprised me but I will continue to book this hotel for my annual fall birding visits

Under renovation so messy but nice staff due to Reno and lack of decent breakfast should have gotten a big discount.

Hotel was being remodeled upon arrival - not bad

Pros: Close to refugee, confortable beds, hairdryer, microwave and fridge.
Cons: The First room received had a strong cigarette smell
Location: Close to refugee, McDonalds 3 minute walk, waffles/coffee/cereal for breakfast. The rooms were small but not bad.

could have been better

Pros: Location
Cons: everything in Hotel
Location: easy access to beach, restaurants within walking distance of stores
Hotel not well maintained. Lack of staffing. Missing ceiling tiles in hallways, lights out, cleaning staff does only what they have too. No maintenance staff on site. 1st room we had bath fan sounded like it was going to fall apart, room had dirt in corners and behind curtains. 2nd room we had: toilet was loose and rocked, air conditioner had mildew around the sides. Walls in hotel are thin can hear people next door and above. Parking lot not paved.

Close to wildlife refuge but that's it.

Arrived at 11am, check-in was at 3. Came back at 4:30 but room still wasnt ready. Moved us to another room. Toenails on the floor, hair on one bed, room was old & beat up, AC barely worked. Hotel overall badly in need of remodel, particularly in such a humid location. Wanted to leave & would have gladly paid any amount for another hotel but the whole island was booked due to an event. Even contemplated cancelling the overnight & driving 3 1/2 hrs home but we were too tired. Cyclists beware- they do not allow bikes in the building. Will not return.

Pros: Convenience and proximity to town.
Cons: Updates!
Just spend one night, but the staff was very helpful and friendly. As noted by others, the place needs some work.... I would think with all the money they make, that would not be a problem.

Had no AC in first room!!! Moved to another room

Moved from room with No AC to room with no TV. Was horrible. Smelled musty. Dirty and small. Breakfast was served right outside our room and we woken to the loud noise of people and the waffle maker beeping very loudly. No ice machine. Pool was closed. Nightmare experience.
