"Nice hotel in suburban setting yet close to beach"
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights - work and leisure trip. I chose the hotel for the proximity to Prince of Wales Hospital and the beaches. Our corner room was huge and the bathroom was also very large - double sinks!! Parking is free on the street overnight, but you have to leave by 8:30am. The hotel has 1-2 spots available in the back and other options if the street is full. Staff was pleasant.

This is university student accommodation, that is available for travellers to rent. The rooms are clean and are completely adequate. We were fortunate to have a double bed with ensuite bathroom, but there are also twin rooms and shared bathrooms for even cheaper rates. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

A good place to stay between beaches and city.
The rooms are very small and don't get made up each day of your stay. The rooms although small, have more furniture in them than what is required for a room this small. There are some cutlery items available but no clock in the room, which i found to be most frustrating.

I have stayed in this hotel on two separate occasions. Both times I found the rooms to be pleasant and spotless and the beds to be comfortable. I had a double room both times and they were quite compact but I didn't mind as I was traveling by myself. Both rooms had nice balconies. I was also lucky to have rooms facing Blenheim St which is a lot quieter than High St. I only have a few minor criticisms: the rooms could do with some fresh paint; the cabinet in one bathroom was showing wear and the block out blind in my other room didn't have a cord and couldn't be put down so at night there was no privacy.... and the lift wasn't functioning on both visits. But other than that the hotel is very good value and is in a good location: near the hospital, shops, cafes and buses and not too far from the beach. I had no trouble parking on the street but there are time restrictions during the day.
