Hotel is in a good location with paid street parking (free on weekends & bank hol) Staff are really friendly and for a small charge they even posted me an item I’d forgotten in the room. Although the pool was out of service during my stay, I’d come here again and would recommend to others.

Liked: staff were wonderful, the hotel was very clean, the areas around the hotel seemed safe, breakfast was great, bed was comfortable. Only negative was poor sound insulation in the room. I was unfortunate to have noisy people in the adjacent room and I could hear them talking throughout the night.

Pleasant stay with a few minor issues.
Not much hanging room or hooks on doors, dark room even with all lights on. Poor pressure on shower. Dining square table top kept tipping with the slightest weight on it but noticed it was removed later. Pleasant staff helpful, beautiful place & good parking. Convenient would stay again regardless of the few faults.

Chose this hotel as a 15 min walk from the station and centre. Comfortable, clean room and bathroom with a very comfortable bed. Vegan friendly as provided vegan breakfast inc oat milk, so was happy

Great hotel just outside main centre of town. 5 minute walk to Children's Hospital. 10 minute walk to Bullring. Great location. Lovely room. Said single room but bed bigger than a single (but not double). Ideal for a solo traveller. Decent shower. Only problem was I got woken up at about 3am by glass being poured into a recycling/bin truck. Possibly by a nearby pub? Otherwise great stay and would use again.

Massively overpriced for a budget hotel experience
I checked in and the reception desk clerk was OK. The hotel felt tired and dated. The room itself was OK, but the mattress was completely knackered. The lock on the door didn't work, which was far from ideal. The shower worked, but I can't say any more than that :(

Handy and good value
Well located for the city, but nicely away from the chaos. Very good value. Room is fairly basic but has everything you need, is fairly modern and very clean. Noise insulation to the corridors could be better but the room was warm and the bed very comfy. Staff on the front desk and the cleaning staff were all very pleasant. Would recommend and would stay again.

Lovely stay, as usual.
Just a one-night solo stop. Everything about my stay was good. Check-in was efficient and friendly, the room itself was good, the bed was great, and I was looked after very well by the staff at breakfast. What’s not to like? For me it’s a bit of a nostalgia trip because I used to work at Aston and remember this particular building with some affection. This hotel is always my first choice when staying in Birmingham.

Very convenient for conference at The Eastside Rooms. Windows were drafty (although heating worked fine. Comfy bed. Shame the bar was closed. Friendly and helpful staff.
