expect to walk a lot

Pros: location
typical Hampton Inn with typical breakfast, cardboard waffles, powder eggs with some kind of mysterious spices, no pasties. Room keys work about 5-10 minutes and then need to be replaced at front desk. As expected, Expedia people are given rooms all the way at the end of the hall, so we tried to use the exterior door one floor done to access our car. But the electronic keys would open the door for reentry about 25% of the time, so another long walk down to the front desk to get new keys.

Convenient and fine

Was only there overnight, arriving late and leaving early. Hotel was fine for such a stay.

There was not a lot to do around the hotel, but it was close to the DNR office were my sone had an interview.

I was in Eau Claire to visit someone at Sacred Heart Hospital. The Hampton was a perfect location to get there and also grab something to eat with many options of restaurants in the area. Would have liked having a small refrigerator in the room for water or pop bottles but the room was not equipped. That is my only complaint which is quite minimal. Room was very comfortable and staff very nice.
