Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Had already booked alternative place for dinner but wished we had eaten at the Kings Head as the food looked really good.

Good food, nicely renovated old inn. Relaxed atmosphere. Not far off the M6 so good for a stop off on the way south.

The Kings Head is a lovely pub/hotel not far from the motorway junction near Tebay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Great food and overall we had a lovely stay. Will definitely be staying again!

Clean and well appointed. Had to leave early before breakfast so was given a breakfast tray for my convenience. Very friendly on arrival and went the extra mile!

Perfect getaway

Pros: Nice rooms. Excellent rates for the quality of accommodation. Good choice of real ales in the bar.
Location: Tranquil village location adjacent to stream at the front. View of church from the rear. Good country walks without needing to get in the car first.
Beautifully renovated old inn in a tranquil country village setting. Comfortable and charming bedroom. Great food and good selection of ales in the bar. Highly recommended
